2000 trouble free miles home from mark dodge. Then….

2 days ago I was flogging on it a bit and it popped 5 codes. Cleared them and dealt with there CA dmv today other than smog since it has t gone enough since clearing.

Driving around trying to facilitate that and it has to system checks left, both catalyst. I get into the throttle a bit at at intersection and the truck stalls. Pull over restart check codes. All the same ones again. I needed fuel (1/2 tank)anyways so I headed that way before going home and step on it a bit and it stalls out again. Seems like it’s getting more turbo lag than normal and when it would normally get up and go it just quits and dies.

Check your turbo boots it sounds like one blew off like the clamp wasn't tight.

Sounds like a warranty issue..let the dealer figure it out....
Whatever one of the 3 can get it in faster it’s going to. Next problem is parts availability if it needs stuff. I’m worried I’m looking and weeks/months of downtime. This is par for the course for me. My new 5thwheel showed up all damaged as well.

Figures, first time I ever buy anything brand new it turns into a problem.

I think most people in his position would be pissed actually….
It wouldn't make anyone happy... however, the negativity is what strikes me as extreme....not just about the truck...but she doesn't even know what the issue is or what will fix it yet she has jumped off the bridge.

Come in man....

Considering the codes and she was "flogging" on the truck.. whatever that means...

Something has probably come loose either at the turbo or perhaps the air box ..

The OP should be proactive and look under the hood and see if anything jumps out at her as not being right.

That's why the truck comes with a warranty. Mine will be going in again for another unrelated small issue for the second time in less than 750 miles. Low coolant, no mechanical issues they probably just forgot

And now we have a P0401 “EGR FLOW INSUFFICIENT “
Did you check the turbo boots? Inlet and outlet to the intercooler ? If not there then you need to check fuel rail pressure. Make sure it's not a cp issue. Show pictures of the boots the outlet to the intercooler is what I'm guessing without seeing this truck.. It is just a starting point. Of course check all connections to make sure they are fully seated. Open the fuse box under the hood and push in all relays and fuses too. They seem to not be seated very well on these new trucks.

You sound like a charmer.

You can't blame him qt all, especially if you've been on the site a while and know how long he had to wait for his truck to show up. Then you have not only an expensive brand new truck have issues but a brand new 5th wheel show up damaged, I'd be pretty damn livid too. But that tends to be my luck as well, make a purchase and something inevitably goes wrong. Knock wood Mt truck has been great so far!

Seated all relays and fuses all the way now. And boots look good.

You need to check where the air intake goes to the turbo inlet side boot too.

Well, the OP seemed to give the Ol Ram some good ol flogging when all the problems started...could be coincidence. The truck went 2000 miles no issues.

If you know anything about travel trailers or 5th wheels and the transporting of them - you would NOT be surprised that on occasion they are damaged. If you were ever to be inside one going down the freeway you would probably think the entire thing was going to fall apart. This is why transporters have insurance and manufactures have warranties. It happens and its a drag- I get it - or maybe its karma??

Everything turbo related looks and sounds good. Thanks for the help.
Odd question did you take out the foam insert in the inlet tube going to the turbo? I'm wondering if the air director tube and foam have moved some how.

I’ve taken nothing out or apart on the truck.

Feel free to move along now. You contribute absolutely nothing and make some broad assumptions about me and who I am. you do not know me one bit, so kick rocks buddy.
