The Dodge M37 Power Wagon is a legendary truck that has been used by the military since its introduction in 1951. Known for its ruggedness and durability, this three-quarter-ton, 4×4 pickup has now been given a comprehensive two-year $150,000 nut and bolt frame-off restoration, resulting in a stunning vehicle that is sure to turn heads.

Completed in 2020, the restoration involved the use of high-quality components and materials throughout. The truck now features a 408 cubic inch 485 horsepower ATK Chrysler Magnum 408 stroker V8 engine, rated at an impressive 535 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is equipped with Sniper fuel injection, MSD ignition, a serpentine front accessory drive, and a Champion aluminum radiator with an electric fan.

A 5-speed NV4500 manual transmission connects the engine to the axles, which have been sourced from a 1982 Chevrolet K20 pickup. The front axle is an 8-lug Dana 44, while the rear is a corporate 14-bolt. An NP205 2-speed transfer case provides the necessary gearing for off-road use.

The suspension has also been upgraded, with custom off-road design leaf springs and hangers, Bilstein shocks, and front air-bump stops. The truck also features one-ton crossover steering with heavy-duty knuckles, a front sway bar, and 4-wheel disc brakes.

The body of the M37 has been media blasted and coated with Upol primer, followed by RM epoxy and a Glasurit Porsche Slate Grey paint using Glasurit clear coat. A Black Raptor underside, bed, and interior coating have also been applied. The bed is covered by a Boyce Equipment custom-fitted fiberglass hardtop.

Inside, the black and red interior features Procar bucket seats, an Ididit tilt steering column, and a Lecarra steering wheel. A DOM tubing roll hoop with 3-point seat belts provides added safety, while Classic Instruments bomber gauges keep track of the truck’s vital signs. The truck also features a Sony DSX-GS80 head unit, Rockford Fosgate speakers, an 8-inch subwoofer mounted under the passenger seat, and mil-spec LED lighting throughout.
