Ram Drops Details On The 2020 Ram Heavy Duty Lineup:
Night Edition, More Technology Across Lineup For New Model Year...
While the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty lineup was introduced late in the model year, it isn’t stopping the Ram Truck brand from releasing details on their 2020 model year trucks. So let’s take a look at what is coming for the 2020 Ram Heavy Duty pickup lineup.
Night Edition Package Returns…
A few weeks ago, we broke the news that Ram Trucks was bringing the Night Edition back to Heavy Duty lineup. This was exciting news to many and Ram is now confirming that news for the first time. The Night Edition package will be available on both Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 Big Horn (Lone Star in Texas) and Laramie models. Opting for the Night Edition, will get you the monochromatic look of the Big Horn (Lone Star in Texas) Sport and Laramie Sport, however black grilles, badges, 20-inch aluminum wheels (not available on Ram 3500 dually models), black bezel headlights, and black trimmed tail lights from the Black Edition trucks.
The interior of the Night Edition trucks follows that of the Sport packages of both models. This includes an all-blacked out theme, including the pillar covers and headliner.
More Technology Availablity and Safety…
Ram is making several options available on all trim levels for the 2020 model year. This is huge news for those who love the hard-working Tradesman models. New for 2020, Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Steering are now available on all trim levels. This also will include the addition of Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring across the lineup, a welcome addition for those who tow long distances with their Heavy Duty pickups.
The auxiliary camera system for the Heavy Duty trucks has also been updated. Now the system supports up to two different cameras. While Blind-Spot Monitoring is now available with easy-to-use trailer coverage.
For those who are looking to purchase a Ram Heavy Duty Crew Cab pickup with the 8-foot bed, Ram has made the 50-gallon fuel tank now standard equipped on those models.
Colors…
Of course, the biggest news after a launch of a new vehicle is the follow up year’s choice of colors and Ram is bringing two new colors to the lineup for the new model year. Hydro Blue will be replacing the popular Blue Streak color, while Olive Green will replace Black Forest Green.
For those who are looking at the Power Wagon models, a new set of Gloss Black wheels are now available on the off-roader.
Uconnect System Changes…
While not 2020 model year news, we did release information about some recent changes for late 2019 model year Ram Heavy Duty models, that will return for the 2020 model year regarding the trucks Uconnect systems. As of right now, you are now available to get the 12-inch Uconnect Touchscreen infotainment system on Big Horn (Lone Star) models. There is even an option to get the popular 8.4-inch Uconnect Touchscreen in the entry-level Tradesman models as well.
