For all those flying to Mark Dodge and driving home with 2022 orders

Biggest thing for you guys driving from Mark dodge is that you need to stress they HAVE to get the PSI right and lowered from shipping during PDI and alignment. There are no air chucks that worked within 50 miles when I just went this past week and stopped at like 4 gas stations to air down for my 1200 mile trip. Sadly I picked up my truck after hours so their service team was not available.
I brought a tire pressure gauge in my backpack. Aired the tires down when I stopped at the gas station on the way to the highway.

You are discussing lowering tire pressures. All you need is cheap pocket type pressure gage. Easy peasy to let air out with most anything and recheck pressure with a gage. If no gage let a little air out and rely on the evic display.

I wouldn't count on the EVIC much, too slow. Use a gauge.

I couldn't even get my tire fill assist to work the last time I needed it the EVIC updates were so slow. I know it's not specifically the EVIC, but it's the human interface to the computer so it gets all the blame.

I had brought my nice digital one but apparently over 55 psi was too high to read lol

Hello all,
Interesting thread. Do I understand correctly that you are getting a truck someplace far from home? I'm assuming in stock and on lot thus your able to get a good price.
Would this apply to a order? If I can get a good deal on the truck I want to build/order I'd be willing to travel for it.

I think most of us going to mark dodge ordered trucks. I know I at least did. Saved over 10k compared to the same order from local dealers. Hence the 1k + mike trip i will be making once my truck finally gets to the dealership.

Most are ordering from a volume dealer and getting us much as 4-5% below invoice.

I got the same deal on my 2020 with a local volume dealer, dealing directly with the sales manager.

Looks like the best dealer east coast is a Chapman Dodge in PA (?)

Check the thread I posted and the general forum for other dealer's threads.

If you are returning home through Baton Rouge, avoid passing through there between 4-6pm heading East. Traffic can get bad approaching the river.
Both the Nugget and Lauberge du Lac casinos in lake Charles are nice. Daryl’s Poboys or Luna bar and grill are great places to eat in lake Charles. I’ll be getting a bite to eat there when I go pick up my truck (hopefully next week). I live about 80 miles away in Lafayette.

Getting jealous of you folks that have ordered from MD and currently picking up trucks. Congrats!
I think it's getting time for me place an order as well. I have heard the name Sandi mentioned several timed, but it's not one of the few names listed on the dealer's website. Who is the preferred contact to use to start the order process from Mark Dodge?
Both Aaron and Sandi are excellent.

Can confirm. Talked to Aaron on Saturday and today. Every single person I dealt with their has been amazing. Only business I have ever dealt with that had the same customer service is USAA. Both companies have earned me as a customer for life.

In other news, I booked my ticket today and signed all the paperwork. I am flying into New Orleans Friday and having them meet me their Saturday morning. Plane tickets were cheaper, layover is shorter, and it saves me a a few hours driving home to NC. Glad MD is offering this free for charge. If anything happens to they truck they are on the hook for it, and I feel much more confident of them taking care of me then a trucking company. I will make sure to report back anything I learn on the trip back.

I live 10 miles from Lake Charles La. I know Aaron personally. Have bought several vehicles from him. Just got my 2022 ram 2500 3 weeks ago. Bought the wife a new Jeep Grand Cherokee L saturday. You won't find a better person to do business with. Chances are you won't find a better deal. So if you are in the market for a jeep, Aaron is the largest jeep dealer in the south. I'm not affiliated with Mark Dodge in any way. Just wanted to put that out there.

Yes, gives us a trip update. I'm hoping my 2500 will arrive at MD sometime in Feb. Then I'll do the fly down and drive back scenario. Minimum 2,600 miles for me back home to Washington state.

I flew into Houston Friday and Shelton met me at the airport with my 2500. Aaron was great to deal with as well. Took care of everything over the phone and signed over the computer. Put 1100 miles on it driving back to Albuquerque. I have recommended them to my friends as everyone there was excellent to deal with over at Mark Dodge.

Flight booked. Been waiting/hoping the price was going to go back down, not happening. I fly into Houston next Friday the 17th. Then the 1800ish miles home.
The old adage come true, with a twist...."All roads lead away from Mark Dodge."

My wife wants a Grand Cherokee L. How much discounts can I get from them on that?
Thank you

I would imagine every deal is different. I think there is a $3000 rebate on certain models. Plus whatever negotiating will bring. If you are trading in, that's a plus also. They are giving top dollar for trade ins right now. It would be worth a call.

I’m doing the same to Washington likely around Feb as well, pretty basic Big Horn Regular Cab 6.4 Hemi

Well guys, my bags are packed and I just checked into my flight online. Takeoff is tomorrow afternoon. Found a hotel near New Orleans that offers free shuttle service so no extra cost for an uber. Then I just have to wait for Ronnie from Mark dodge to meet me Saturday morning with the new truck. Not sure I am going to be able to sleep tonight or tomorrow night.

Looks like when my truck gets delivered, I will have just enough fuel to get to a fuel station to deflate my tires.
