UC4 to 5 Upgrade - Lost 360 Surround

Hey everyone! I tried to do some searching, but I could have easily missed it. I have a 2020 3500 with the 12" Screen (UC4) and upgraded to UC5. Everything is working great, minus Sat Radio which I haven't seen a fix for but doesn't bother me too much, as I don't use it much. However I also lost my 360 Surround in the top left. I can manually select all cameras, and the video shows up just fine. Basic rear camera works, but I'm not sure what I did. I saw a post of someone else who listed calibration techniques with AlphaODB. I have tried to follow them (I think). But I cannot get this thing to work. Anyone have suggestions for me? I'm new to using AlphaODB (I came from Ford and ForSCAN) so fully admit I do not know what I'm doing. Thank you!

I did. But I saw this as well. Happen to know which pin it goes into? I have new connectors to recrimp now. But where does it go?

Whelp. I don’t have the right connector. I’ll order it. And just putting it in there didn’t make a good enough connection . I’ll update after I get a new connector.

Hi Just checking if there is a difference between the two modules 56029965AC and 04672644AJ? According to the parts system 56029965AC is simply 04672644AJ with bracket and cover etc included? I have added surround cameras to 2022 Limited and cannot get the soft keys to select the cameras, it only works when vehicle is in reverse.

Time and money honestly. There are a ton of posts where the parts needed (less if you already have 360 etc). Jimmy07 has a lot of write up’s.

I'm usually a proficient searcher. However this forum won't search for terms like UC4 and UC5 as there's not enough letters. And Uconnect upgrade doesn't work either.

You have to source a 12” screen for UC5, source a used radio control module. And then a couple of cable harnesses. Right around $2k mark total. Then alpha odb some settings. That might have just been for the surround camera which if you have you need the newer control box under the seat.

The advanced search allows 3 character search terms, but you're honestly better off using google search with "" quotes around phrases and the site:hdrams.com tag.

I bet I knew that, but I swear I forget more each day... I don't think I've ever used the "site:xyz" function. gotta check that out. And I just tried it... holy crap. How've I lived this long without that. /facepalm

I'm gonna put a new UC5 system in my 2021 - which CVPM do I need to keep 360 camera, and which AlfaOBD settings?

Oh, and some searching around the web, rumor has it that you need a different TTPMS module - anyone have the part number? (I couldn't see one of those in any other forums either). @Jimmy07 help please...

I put in the new UC5 module. CAn't get ESC switch to work... and... can't get CVPM to calibrate (gets about 60% than fails a camera, error code attached). Had surround working before on this with the UC4 setup... Ideas?

I have mine all working. Cameras go through calibration. It shows up 360 on the screen looks great. After a few seconds reverts to all black around the truck. Any ideas?

When you reset the errors on the CVPM then re-cal a camera - it goes "good" for a second until the error flags again. I'm guessing you might have 1 camera that is not calibrated. Run the sequence, do Left, then Right, then Front, then Rear....and clear the CVPM error each time....

I didn’t clear the code each time, because it doesn’t throw one. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I did each camera one at a time. But it keeps saying no errors?

Go reconnect to the radio, and then select Central vision processing module, and then go to the status and fault screen read all faults and then clear fault. And that should bring it back to operating normal if the cameras are calibrated.
