There is something as far as the bed step for the 2500s vs the 3500s. My dealership said the bed step fo the 3500s won't be available until next month.
Well isn't that just great if I wasted my money on the 2500 version...

Well then when the actual 3500 step becomes available I’ll be returning this one back to the dealer as the parts guy took my truck info and ordered the step so that’s on him.

Wonder what THAT part number is/will be...

If I was a gambling man I’d guess 82215842AF as ours is AE which is apparently for the 2500.

Last two alpha are usually just a rev/mod/update. The part number is likely to be different if there are in fact different parts for a 3500.

The dealership let me return the bedstep. Now I'll be patiently waiting for the 3500 model to come into production. Hopefully someone here posts the part number when it is available

Who told you there was a specific 3500 PN? There is one PN series for 2019-2020 2500/3500 SRW trucks, the "E" revision that was just released.

I was told the same thing from my dealership, the bed step for the 3500 hasn't been released yet. I assume that means it has a different PN.

The E version is the one that binds on the 3500 but apparently not on the 2500. For the amount I actually use it I don’t find it a real problem at the end of the day.

I invite anyone to try this part on the 3500 trucks. It WILL NOT fit without modification. So it would make sense that there is another step yet to be released. The instruction sheet inside the box is even titled 2500 Bed Step. No mention of 3500 whatsoever.

Here's mine. AE mounted on my '19 3500. I ordered the AD version March 24th right when it was withdrawn for the bracket/stabilizer issue. The AD was labelled 2500/3500 fitment...

I'll chase the plastic bumper part to see if there's some (unknown to me) difference between the 2500 and 3500 but I'd bet any revisions for a 3500 fitment on the AE will just be to the installation instructions where they tell you to shim the bumper bolts or trim ~1/4"x3" clearance for the step to clear when retracted.

Interested in other follow-up obviously but I'm up/operational after waiting for ~6mos for my Covid Step to be delivered.

This is the little trim piece on the bottom of the bumper, holds the backup sonar/sensors. I'm betting they are the same... will confirm when I can get my parts guy to crawl the fiche.

I am not sure if this had already been discussed or not, but the Authentic Mopar Parts and Accessories Store shows the following:

Part# 82215842"AD" - fits 2019-2020 RAM 2500HD and 3500HD's, $335.00

Part# 82215842"AE" - fits 2019-2020 RAM 2500HD only, $365.00

So what is the difference? Why a difference of $30 in the price?

Any news on a new part number or release date for the 2020 Ram 3500?

Part# 82215842"AD" - fits 2019-2020 RAM 2500HD and 3500HD, Link Below:

Also, maybe I am wrong, but I have seen that Part# 82215842 "AD" was included in the recall? Is that correct?

Not Good...
My dealer owed me a Bedstep for my '20 3500 CC LB DRW because FCA removed it from my order in March production when they were discontinued pending redesign.
The dealer offered to install the step last Thursday and picked it up. I tried it out and it worked fine - but I practically had to kick the dang thing to get it to retract.
I just checked the repair order and the part they used says 82215842AE.
Now from above, I see that the correct unit for my 3500 hasn't even been released yet. So how did they install the AE version on my 3500 truck last week?
I'd better go out there and check if they modified it somehow to make it fit.
