Body mounts weren’t fixed they said they could replace them but it’d happen again and there’s not a permanent fix yet. On the work order says there’s a TSB for it and he said to keep calling in to check if there’s a fix. They also cut my floor liner about a inch long lost a clip that holds the liner. I found a plastic vent cover in my cup holder which I don’t know where it goes and a one inch scratch in the door jam. Waiting to hear back on what they’re going to do with that. As much as I want it fixed I don’t want them pulling all my seats and panels to replace the floor liner. For my first Ram prettying a been a horrible experience. 3,500 miles in the dealer has had my truck for a total of a month got grease prints on everything tore my floor liner and took them a month to tell me it’s the body mount and they can’t fix it. So now I get to drive a truck that rattles worst than my work truck that’s 10 years old and has 110,000 miles oh and I’m still making payments on it. Almost feel like you’re getting taken advantage of and there’s nothing you can do about it.
So what happened when you got your truck back? Did they replace the mounts?

Man, as I just said on another forum, if new ones don’t fix it, then this isn’t just a bad batch and all trucks should be having this issue. Which maybe is the case, but it just doesn’t bother many people.....

I also have the front end clunk that occurs when turning going over bumps and such. This supposedly is body mounts to.

I am going to make another video and add some lighting. When I do that I will post it.
Any chance you could post that video? Did you show to dealer yet?

Would honestly rather just replace them myself if that turns out to be the issue.

Got my 2500 last week and noticed the rattle in the right rear of the cab also...like a door not closed all the way or excessive seat shaking when i go over uneven road surfaces...

Sounds like the same area I hear it and same noise doesn’t always do it but when you hit a sharp edge or something. Still waiting to see what happens. Haven’t heard anything back waiting for my new ram care manager to contact me on Monday. Last one said maybe a trade in for another truck or a buy back.

Have you guys tried having someone sit on the seat back there and see if the noise persists?

I have a crew cab. Got back from a 300 mile road trip the other day with some weight in the bed, also had my two kids and some luggage in the back seat. Hit some pretty rough roads and did not hear the rattle. Seems like having weight back there makes it go away or at least diminishes it.

The service manager sat back there to listen for the noise. Also removed the seat and the seat belts to narrow down the noise.

Going off the other guy in the other forum posted above he has a specialist come out from star or whatever it’s called and they replaced them said it finally fixed it but the sound is coming back. My dealer as of right now won’t replace mine because it won’t fix it. Said there’s not permanent fix. So for the past two weeks I’ve been dealing with Ram care. It’s been a slow process. But it’s been escalated two times now and I’m waiting on the next person to contact me. Not sure what’s going to happen. They really haven’t informed me much besides saying the next person will be able to answer your questions.

Hmm. Maybe it was the extra weight in the back seat then? It was defiantly not as bad.

Anyways there was a post a while back where someone put a go pro under their truck and had video proof the rattle was the cab mounts. Of course the video was not posted but seems to be the issue.

Also, I can’t remember where I saw it but the rear cab mounts are supposed to be torqued higher than the other cab mounts. Not sure if that is part of the problem but something to consider. Also noticed my rear cab mounts are different than the other cab mounts. Are they supposed to be different?

I think we’ll get it figured out. There is another long thread about it on Ram Forums.
