Let’s talk brakes!

They had the Truck for 2 days. They drove it and acknowledge that brakes are soft. Tried to diagnose it but couldn't find anything wrong. Pads normal, bleeding didn't help, no leaks. They test drove 4 trucks on their lot all had same feel. So they concluded must be normal.
Now on the hood vibrating side, they had previously adjusted the stops that helped and now they adjusted the latch and that vibration is fixed.

@RamCares @Dgulia not a good feeling knowing that the dealer knows our brakes are “soft”. These trucks are meant to pull weight. Soft brakes are never a good thing when towing heavy

So I dropped mine off for same issue yesterday. They drove 2 other trucks on their lot and said they were both much firmer than mine. They bled my brakes to no avail, they have identified it as a weak booster and are sourcing a new one as it is backordered through Ram. Hopefully I'll be reunited with it next week.

Seems a lot of people are having this issue. Maybe the cause to why the booster is on back order

They are because it is a "safety" issue. But if I don't get it back by Saturday somebody is going to owe me something. I've owned it for 16 days and had possession of it 7. I'll be reaching out to @RamCares.

That’s what I’m worried about. Usually warranty work gets pushed to the side and it’s a crying shame.

@RamCares this is a issue! This thread has surfaced 5 different trucks that have weak boosters. No telling how many others on the road are having the same issue. I couldn’t imagine having 10k pounds behind a truck with a “weak” brake booster. Ram needs to get ahead of this and quick

Update: So apparently the new booster showed up broken. Dealer tried to fix it to no avail. They have no idea when they can get a new one.

Yep. I have a pile of accessories in the garage that I was going to install this weekend. Have a big trip next month that I was getting it ready for.

Absolutely ridiculous to purchase a new truck and for it to be held immediately by the dealer due to safety reasons such as a booster
