I'm running Chrome's "auto refresh" extension set to 4 hours on the Ram tracker tab. Usually I look at the status in the evening else I will go crazy waiting for status to change. I feel bad for those who have been in limbo or "X" status for a ridiculously long time.
Wow, I'll have to check into that - I didn't know Chrome had an auto-refresh. Thanks!

31 days "in production," and counting ... I keep hoping that the next time I click on either the Ram VOT website or our Ram 2023 HD Order Tracking sheet, that I'll see "built." What's crazy is that I think I've heard it said that these trackers only update once a day, yet here I am checking them multiple times a day. It's kind of like being put in a round room and being told to go pee in the corner - frustrating. For our sanity, I raise a glass in hopes that those of us who have been waiting (especially those who have been waiting longer than I) see movement soon - cheers!
33 days for me "in production" there are 5 that all started in production about the same time that have lagged. Third party vendor lost them?

I'm figuring to get called by my dealer that my truck is in in the next couple weeks. Just curious to the guys who have trucks on hold at the dealerships because of the recall, did they try to get you to start the financing on your trucks when they came in? Just preparing myself for what I'm going to say. Can't see paying anything for a truck If i can't drive it off the lot. Excpecially after waiting months.

No they haven’t. Just notified me it was there.

Just curious, how many people on this forum are still waiting for their limited 3500 SRW to be built. I ordered my December 6th and it’s just changed to BX status on February 22nd.
When did you order? And what status is your at?

I ordered 11/1, just moved to D1 on 2/24, and there it sits...

My delivery date just got changed for the 3rd time. It initially was 4/1. (April 1st sounds appropriate given what this ordering process has been like). Then shortly after production was completed, it got moved up to 3/20. Now that it's sat in a parking lot for almost a month, they've moved it back to 3/29. However, unless it gets loaded on a train soon, I'm not optimistic they'll make that date either.

Question for the Cummins owners.

I’m new to owning a Cummins so just curious on this.
I know diesels take a little longer to start up but I feel like mine which is a 2023 brand new takes a little longer than it should. I’d stay like 3-6 seconds max of cranking before it fires up kinda like it struggles just a little bit. Is this a normal thing with diesels?

Any way anyone can dm me a video of them cranking there’s up so I can do a comparison I’ll also post a video of mine once I’m out of work on how mine starts up so you guys can judge on if it’s normal or if it’s unusual

EDIT: looks like there’s no way to post a video on here so I guess I can’t do that but any advice would be helpful

I'm still waiting on mine, so I'm probably not the best person to answer this. (My last diesel was a Ford Escort!!!). Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be around to help soon. But until then a quick search should reveal lots of youtube videos.

Here's one video of a 2023. They start it around 1:20.

Here's another. Starting around 5:30.

Another starting just a few seconds in.

It looks like Ram has removed the steering wheel wood trim (top piece) on 23 Limited.
I have not seen one has it in the wild even with Level 1 package. I'm not sure if it's the case for Longhorn as well.
That kind of stinks. I think the wood looked cool. I never did like the hard plastic/faux wood on various other vehicles I have driven on the top, so maybe this is for the best.

QQ: those of you who purchased from MD, what sort of times are you experiencing from "Shipped" to "Delivered" (as in at the dealership)?

Thank You,

--T
Doesn't answer your question but I ordered on 2/2, on2/5 they reordered with correct paint color. I went from C to D1 status yesterday with an estimated ship date of 3/16. Shipping time from Mexico to MD has varied.

I saw this and was happy about the change. Wood never lasts on steering wheels and leather is easier to maintain.

With the ram steering wheels, I always experienced the opposite. The brand new leather steering wheel I went with lasted about 18 months before it started wearing through, no matter how much I maintained it. The used junkyard limited wood wheel I installed a year ago still looks brand new, and that’s just wiping the laminated wood down once in a while with a microfiber rag.

D#mn you SalMeatballs. I ordered on 1/23 from MD and still not D1. You beat me. Order fullfillment seems so random. I will hold it against you forever . :)

WOW, your order has progressed quickly! I hope the trend continues for you (and improves for everyone else). My estimated delivery is 4/24, hoping all goes smoothly and that date doesn't get pushed out. Like others here, I have a trip planned and need to pull my 5th wheel. My 03 duramax is now a 7 cylinder (325k miles)...lol.
