Somewhat related - one of my biggest annoyances is the clock moves depending on source (ie carplay vs siriusxm). Something as simple as the clock should never move and shouldn't take longer than a second to find it. Speaking of siriusxm, with it being a highlighted feature, why does it take...
I have the 12” but if given the choice is go with 8. 12” is buggy, many features still not working, and is simply not worth the price once the honeymoon phase is over.
Underground tanks don’t get as cold. There is some left in the lines above ground, but they also don’t have superfine filters to get clogged up.
It’s probably fine to just run what they sell most of the time, but that isn’t good enough for me.
I run additive year round to feel better about the...
FWIW, i used woolwax (fluid film) on my truck. I have ramboxes so I pulled out the box assemblies (~10 bolts and 1 connector, maybe 10 min job) and sprayed everything. Still a couple areas I couldn’t get to but I’m giving it my best shot.
Had my first issue today after about 4K miles. It rained hard for a while and my drivers side grab handle in the cab was dripping water. First start and stop about a tablespoon of water poured out. Has anyone experienced or heard of this? I’m wondering if it’s a clearance light on the cab or...
They are black oxide. I should have expected the problem but didn’t think about it. You could probably get by without them or go to a hardware store for better quality.
I left the front tires on but had to remove the rear for room to work. Used a harbor freight rivet tool. Took a couple hours...
Update on my Mopar mud flaps after a couple weeks on the truck. I would skip using the washers included in the kit. Mine are already rusted. It doesn’t seem like much but it really stands out to my eye. Visible rust on a truck only a couple months old just doesn’t sit well with me, especially...
I don’t know if this applies to everyone, but on my 12” screen many of the “features” don’t work properly. Fuel price always resets to gas, sports teams/alerts don’t work at all, etc.
I’m hoping for some significant software improvement - it seems very half baked and poorly validated. Really hoping I don’t need to go to a dealer for a update I hope comes....
For the rattle noise, is it as simple as the 2.5” to 2” receiver adapter on the under floor storage compartment? Mine was in there and bumped around a bit making some noise. I don’t have the rattle but the AC is definitely weak.
FWIW, even with a couple problems so far, I’d still buy this...
Has anyone had success getting favorite sports teams, or anything related, to work? I have mine selected but it says I have no favorites and there is never any data available.
For fuel type, it resets to gas every restart. Any way to make the default stay on diesel?
Becoming a rant now, but...
Tailgate has a button that will unlock and open the tailgate (if key is near on trucks with passive entry) but not the other doors. I don’t believe it will lock without using key fob or door buttons.
Ramboxes lock/unlock with the doors. Note for the passive/keyless entry pushing the latch button on the Ramboxes wont open them; you have to go to the door handle first to get everything to unlock.
That somewhat depends on what trim, when the truck was built, and exactly which options you are looking for in the towing tech group. Limited trucks now have the features of the towing tech group standard. Note that does not include trailer tire monitoring or trailer camera which are just...
