2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Scroll back a page or two. It's a may order that Stellantis screwed up or lost so gave him a clone order with a new VIN. It's a May order with a new VIN.
I do wonder if they lost mine as well. Zero info.

Curious...
I ordered my 2022 2500 Lonestar on 9/22. I was told by the dealer that two days later I had a vin (which he gave me) and it was in D status. I found this forum and put my information in the spreadsheet a few weeks ago and yesterday it populated with the D status as if 10/20/2021. Wondering if my dealer told me that to just "keep me happy" or if it has taken this long for the system to catch up and populate the status?

Need to do more checking, but If it's a co-op of transporters, I'm sure we could request a "covered wagon" to transport. Did this with a few vehicles I purchased.
I have used Central Dispatch 100’s of times. Yes, you can be specific on your request for covered or open trailers. There are small guys on the site transporting 2 - 3 cars at a time and some big guys transporting 7+ cars at a time.

Drove to Louisiana yesterday. And started back to Tn today. Thought I would give it a test run. That way when the trucks ready. I know the route.. Naaaa just went to look at a 4600 lb toy for the bed of the truck.
Sure looking forward to Seeing Louisiana again soon. Then the truck ride back home. Good luck with your order.
That was funny! Curious what the 4600lb toy is? Tractor? Can’t wait to hear about your truck. Make sure you let us know the initial impressions.

The date shown just shows the last time an edit was made in the system by someone. Think if it as "status last updated" date. It's not necessarily the start date of that particular category. You have nothing to worry about.

First post for me, but have been following along here since we ordered 6/19. Dealer told us today that our truck status is KZ-LD & that it is delayed in transit. He said it will go from Saltillo plant to Altamira port then by boat to arrive at the Brunswick, GA port on 12/16. Then truck will go to Lawrenceville, GA and finally come to our dealer in Lexington, SC. I do not think in all 11K+ posts anyone else has mentioned their truck coming by boat. Has our salesman lost his mind or is it possible that our truck really might take the slow boat to get to us?

Hey guys first post here, been reading past posts for awhile but now I have a question. I ordered a 22 Laramie night edition level a on 6/25. I got my vin 3c6ur5FL4NG116835 but when I call Ram chat they tell me that number isn’t in there data base and have no info on that vin. Has anyone heard of this? My dealer sent me my build sheet and that says it’s in D status. Starting to get frustrated after 4 months of waiting and not getting many answers. Any help would be great thanks!
That same thing happened to me several times when calling Ram Chat. Person 1 tells you they can't find anything, congratulations on your purchase. Person 2 tells you to hang on while they look at this or that and after awhile, tells you they really don't have much info but your order has been received (basically in D status). I've decided it comes to how experienced and trained the person is and how motivated they are to get you a better answer than "I can't find anything", which of course strikes the fear in you that maybe your paperwork was lost or something. By the way, you tend to get more informed people during the week. It's like the weekend people are just people sitting around the house answering calls as a side gig.

Although I am "supposedly" in paint, the only extra I got was the spray in bed liner, no steps no 5th wheel
I got the spray in liner, bed step and side steps so maybe it is the bed liner. Nothing makes any sense anymore lol. It would almost be better if the internet didn’t exist and the only update we got was when our vehicle arrived at the dealer. It would take the insanity little chopped up tidbits of info create for all of us haha

Thank you for the clarification!

So, have a new one this morning. After being in paint last Friday, I just received this email from "Cara":

Hello Andrew,

This is a courtesy email update regarding your all-new 2022 Ram 3500 factory order status.

I presently show your order has been cloned and is following an enhanced and prioritized production schedule.

Cloning is a manufacturing process for vehicle orders that sit too long in one status. Our factory resources put through a secondary VIN/VON order with the same vehicle specifications and make sure that the clone keeps moving at an enhanced and expedited rate.

At this present time, your vehicle is in the stage prior to being released by the plant. The vehicle may have been selected for additional quality inspections or held for delivery purposes. The new VIN for your Ram 3500 is 3C63RRJL4NG190038 .

As promised, we are continuing to prioritize your order with our logistics resources to ensure your order remains prioritized for next steps.

I will continue to monitor your order with our logistics resources teams. Once additional updates become available for your order, I will be reaching out further to you to share these updates. Your authorized ordering dealership will be an additional excellent resource for any order updates or questions you might have.

I will continue to follow your order and provide details as they become available. Thank you for your loyalty and we’re proud to have you as a member of the Ram Truck Family!

Sincerely,

Cara

I looked up the new VIN and it already has a equipment listing posted, and looks like it is still my original order. Will probably be the highest VIN Laramie with power folding mirrors. :)
Hmmmm... Mine is 102294 and still D status since June 3rd. Ordered 5-17. Maybe they can clone it and I can wait another 5 damn months.

If mine is delayed as well then it’s probably side or rear steps since I share those options with you
