2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I get the unable to fetch message when I use capital letters in the vin but I get no records found when I use lower case letters.
Its case sensitive - if you enter lower case or an invalid number, you get no records found. The caps should get you in but there seem to be problems inconsistency in several of the sites incl Cryptostickers this am. I have email message but link fails to pull up truck it referernces

So here is why some of us are very unhappy with our early orders. Document shows all the 2500 Mega cab Limiteds ordered by members on here. All the May orders and some of June orders were skipped over and they instead built later June and July orders. What a terrible ordering system.
I can see that. My frustration today lies with the fact they have all the parts but cant seem to get it into the build process. I hope it does not become a hangar queen (military guys get it). My parts are there only until they "pull" one for a shortage somewhere else. I was ready to be in "D" status for a lengthy time. D1 tells me we are good to go but cant get out of the gate. Another day passes and boom, here we are two months into the current MY manufacture window. Cant imagine what MY23 will bring if they change body styles and the shortages continue.

No worries.

Thank you. After posting this, I did see that the 2022 builds were up on the Ram site. I did a mock build of the truck like my order. Was your info about using the same 2021 grill based off of that build site? Because I saw that too and I interpreted it as maybe the site wasn't 100% accurate because it also didn't show the chrome belt molding in the picture, which was clearly stated to include. I also read the part where the press article said there will be more info posted this weekend. Definitely looking forward to that read.
Yeah that site isn't accurate. It doesn't show the chrome mirror caps either on the generated photo. I thought I read it had a different grille and I assumed that it was the previous MY grille which is still nice and the look is good. Not 100% on the grille being that though...

Heard from my dealer this morning that my truck is finally getting built and is in F status (paint). Currently showing an estimated ship date of 10/17. 5/21 order date, 102665. 3500 CC DRW HO Laramie with all the tech and sunroof.

So, have a new one this morning. After being in paint last Friday, I just received this email from "Cara":

Hello Andrew,

This is a courtesy email update regarding your all-new 2022 Ram 3500 factory order status.

I presently show your order has been cloned and is following an enhanced and prioritized production schedule.

Cloning is a manufacturing process for vehicle orders that sit too long in one status. Our factory resources put through a secondary VIN/VON order with the same vehicle specifications and make sure that the clone keeps moving at an enhanced and expedited rate.

At this present time, your vehicle is in the stage prior to being released by the plant. The vehicle may have been selected for additional quality inspections or held for delivery purposes. The new VIN for your Ram 3500 is 3C63RRJL4NG190038 .

As promised, we are continuing to prioritize your order with our logistics resources to ensure your order remains prioritized for next steps.

I will continue to monitor your order with our logistics resources teams. Once additional updates become available for your order, I will be reaching out further to you to share these updates. Your authorized ordering dealership will be an additional excellent resource for any order updates or questions you might have.

I will continue to follow your order and provide details as they become available. Thank you for your loyalty and we’re proud to have you as a member of the Ram Truck Family!

Sincerely,

Cara

I looked up the new VIN and it already has a equipment listing posted, and looks like it is still my original order. Will probably be the highest VIN Laramie with power folding mirrors. :)

So instead of building the truck that was ordered, they're building another one with same specs that gets pushed thru? Why not just build the older one?

Welcome!!!! It’s crazy how many dealers have different things that will hold up a build I was told just the sunroof, I’ve also seen power steps, HO engine , 5th wheel prep, folding mirrors, some of the camera options so it’s just crazy how all over the board it is. And I’m almost 5 weeks in since my order and I’m itching to get it now lol but know I have long wait as well
What seems to hold up the orders is after you place your order, sign some documents and pay a deposit. If you do any of those 3 things your order will be held up. Oh one more thing that will hold up your order, if you place an order on a new truck you really want you will hold up said order.
If you’re well behaved you may be lucky and hear, there is a labor shortage, nobody is shipping anything or that old favorite on mine, Covid.
The wait will be a loooong 5 months. The dealer I used didn’t say anything like what will hold up orders. She just said probably 5 months.

Wonder if an issue was found with your OG order, like a cracked frame? Can’t imagine that would happen, but who knows.
