I know you've posted this before, but I really dig this idea. I feel like you could prob shave half an inch in travel over the Daystar cradles, and they would for sure be more durable.

Do you have a lathe or did you send this out?
I believe it is 1/2” more clearance which is what i was aiming for.

I have a lathe so the only cost was my time (~1-1/2 hrs to make them) as the material was leftover from older jobs

Would billet ones be worth it?
I was going to make them out of billet aluminum but i did not have any material and no solid steel bar that size only tubing. So the next best thing was welding the plates. If i was to make a run of them on my CNC lathe to sell i would order some solid stock of 6061-T6 alum but cost to make any money selling would be to much

I made my own steel cradles instead of the plastic daystar cradles. I went with Pacbrake 7500 bags (very nice quality kit i had the airlifts but returned them) and the airlift 25804 compressor kit.

I didn't take any pictures but heres the cradles before paint i also added a drain hole after mounting so the cradles don't fill with water
What’s the biggest difference running airbags with cradles vs traditional mounting ? I have noticed a harsher ride with the bags even at 5psi

The cradles allow more articulation for off-roading as the bag isn't attached on both ends acting like a limiting strap. A pavement princess doesn't need cradles.

Articulation when offload for me thats only about 2% of the time and when i put it on my hoist i don't have to worry as the bags act like limiting straps then too. The AVG user does not need it

If putting the vehicle on a lift, without cradles would one need to unbolt them from the axle end so they won’t tear when the axle droops?

You can i have never done that due to rust and not wanting to deal with the bolts breaking i usually put a ratchet strap around the axle and a crossmember then i have a large tripod stand that goes under the diff when the truck is in the air. Leaf spring vehicles are better to deal with as there is no worry of this usually.

9 times out of 10 you are likely not going to have an issue but with my luck i dont risk it lol

Yea that was a unknown to me and helped me decide to get the cradles, one less thing to worry about.

When you “flex out” off-road you get a lot more droop than just picking the vehicle up on a lift. Vehicle weight leveraging the axle down into a droop Vs axle weight just hanging

I’m not saying you can’t damage an airbag lifting the vehicle but I would be more worried about flexing out. Lot more force

Absolutely but i have seen other guys tear the bolts out of the bags on the hoist so just one more thing the cradles avoid.

Had my ARE MX topper installed. They also put on the fender flairs and running boards. I put on my Hemi badge. Now it is starting to look like a proper truck. :)

Got my Clazzio seat covers installed last night. They were a bear to get on, but I’m very impressed with the quality and fit. Just a few wrinkles to work out once they warm up some.

Added an engine oil bypass, remote filter mount, PPE deep trans pan and the thermal bypass delete.
Any reason you didn't do the PPE bypass with the magnet in it since that line is where the converter will dump its trash ? I know they've been hard to come by, even on fleabay, but I was able to finally end up with 2 by double ordering seeing who could get it to me 1st lol. Love the deep pan and their extended filter seems like a no brainier. Looking at adding the sinister diesel amsoil bypass mount after I burn through the rest of my freebie dealer T5 oil changes I've been having them do every 4k miles cause why not.
