Maybe I don't understand the Thuren setup, but isn't there more body roll?

Towing guy thinking here.

So, I added this to my 21, SRW 3500…. I tow a 17-18k (loaded weight) 5’r. Doesn’t affect the towing at all with this trailer. As others have replied, would be a totally different scenario if I had a slide in camper.

Also no issues towing my 8x16 loaded cargo trailer.

I noticed slight more body roll empty, when intentionally pushing it through corners for testing purposes, not my normal way of driving. I feel it Works GREAT, worth the investment!

Installed my Shear Comfort seat covers in the back of the truck. They are the Cordura material. Install wasn’t too bad and the fit is pretty good, overall I’m happy with the fit. Their customer service is good as well, the set for our forester had a part that didn’t fit right and next day they called and notified the factory and now just waiting for word back. Got these on Black Friday sales.

I had put some Diode Dynamics Amber Fog SS3s on my bike and really liked them.. haven't convinced myself to buy their kit yet...
Too bad there isn't an amber option for these LEDs.

Anyway, I purchased some LaminX Amber film... they are having a 20% off sale... honestly not bad for what it is.
I purchased the 'pre-cut' which states you can install without removing the light from the housing.

I tried some test fits without removing the backing and really didn't like how it was progressing... so I pulled the fogs out of the housing.
Because it was pre-cut to install in place, it doesn't cover the entire lens, but I saw no white when the fogs were on.

Maybe a nice polycarbonate lens would give a really nice amber color, but for a vinyl, it isn't bad and I retain all the OEM features.

Was last weekend but got my front mounted camera installed. Thanks to Jimmy and a few other members here. It was a pretty simple install and works just like I want it to.

Did the passive entry upgrade today. Took basically all day, but I've been wanting to do it for a while.

One thing I found that I hadn't seen mentioned anywhere (though I'm sure someone else figured it out before I did) was to pull the inside door handle trim out when re-installing the door panel. I was having a ton of trouble getting everything to go back on until I tried it that way. With that trim piece off I had more room to move everything up to slide the clips in place.

Everything is put back together, programmed with alpha, and working perfectly!

Removed the toolbox I installed yesterday because it wouldn’t work with the factory hitch. Installed a m25 hitch. Came with the adapter plate. So I ordered the correct legs for it.

Now the hunt for a unicorn toolbox. Something chest stylethat fits in a short box with factory hitch. So 17-1/2” from bulkhead to hitch.

Not sure if helps any, but I recently installed a 50 gallon aux fuel tank in my short bed. I was told that this would not work with a fifth wheel hitch due to lack of clearance. What I found was different hitches that use the factory puck system rotate their locking handles in different directions. I used a B&W slider hitch. This hitch rotates the locking handles away from the tank. I am able to have the tank sit within 1/4" of the hitch base and still have room to remove and install the hitch with ease. If I were to use the B&W standard companion hitch, I would not be able to leave my fuel tank in place.

I realize you probably don't want to swap to a different hitch, but it is possible to find one that would work with your current tool box.

My tool box I’ve been swapping since my 2013. They finally changed the bed enough it won’t work. It hits the wheel wells too. So I had to put risers on it. It’s about 1-1/2” too wide. I am going to switch to the factory legs. Instead of the adapter. That will help.

So far, I did find a solution. Fab shop is going to radius the corners and take what I need of the bottom and taper it out. Pretty reasonable. They said it isn’t the first time they’ve had to modify one for the 4.5 gens.

Also. I’ve been running companions for years. Great hitches. I just wish the base wasn’t so damn heavy. Even the non slider is 80 pounds heavier than anyone else’s factory system.

With regards to the Carli or Thuren sway bar, I believe they say NOT to run it if you carry a heavy slide-in camper.

I don’t have one of those, and the Thuren sway bar is bay far the best suspension upgrade I’ve ever done to a vehicle.

The switchback lights look good.

Question besides being smoked what do the switch back signal li do that the factory one’s don’t?
Thanks, the biggest change is white running lights switching to yellow turn signals instead of yellow at all times. I love them.

Would you mind sharing the information on your 50 gallon tank. I have a 2022 MegaCab and am using the PullRite HD SuperGlide hitch. Your set-up should be very similar to what I am trying to do as well. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

Thanks for the information. It gives me some ideas about how I can do mine. The mounting plates are a really good idea!

Just got done with Thuren 2” leveling kit, Timbergrove airbags, Rough country rear wheel well liners, spider fog lights, front tow hooks, stainless running boards with stainless steel brackets, Max floor mats, Leather steering wheel cover, carbon fiber door sill protectors, led low beam bulbs, chrome mirror overlays, dash mount dual phone holders. Tailgate assist. That’s it for now!
