Picked it up Saturday around 2 pm. Did a short ride. Got home and decided I’ll install all my parts instead of taking it to a shop. So I put about 40 miles on it and started the install. Took me a little longer that I thought it would but it’s done now. Here’s what I put on it.
2.5 Carli leveling kit
1” blocks for rear end and airbags
37” Cooper stt pros
20” fuel blitz wheels
Thuron adjustable track bar
And here’s a night time picture of it, it barely fit getting it out of my garage, it won’t be going back in.
Damnnn, that looks mean!!

Added a Baja Designs S8 light bar, cjc off-road intercooler guard (not a skid plate), bumper plugs (color matched plugs for the license plate holes), and a noco dual outlet plug in the wheelwell (For engine block heater and on-board battery charger).

Not sold on the yellow lenses yet, probably will go back to white.

Finished test fitting the mounting of athe bypass kit i built. Had to bend the rad support bracket since it was slightly touching the front of the filter. Also need to adjust the mounting holes since the back side of the filter is touching the throttle valve. The psi guage is useless at this point, unless the psi increases once thr filter is fully clogged. But not sure I want to wait for the filter to be clogged before it gets replaced.

Installed a Leer 650 Quad fold tonneau cover and an Adarac Aluminum Pro series in black. I like them both. Too tall to get it out of the garage though. I’ll have to mount them in the driveway when I’m ready to pull the travel trailer and carry the kayaks.

Put on my Retrax and got all the interior lights swapped to LEDs. Next is OEM LED swap from Retro Shop!
Would you mind sharing a link or bulb number for the LED visor lights? For whatever reason the Limited's have LED's just about everywhere else. Thanks!

Had a 2in spacer level installed on my truck in preparation for aftermarket wheels and tires. In person it looks exactly level. Not sure why it looks slightly squatted in the second picture. 2in level should be the perfect level height.

I hate the look of raked trucks. The truck rides a little stiffer but I didn't mind the ride before and I don't mind it now.

What size tire do you plan on mounting?

New wheels and tires. 18x9 Method MR701 HDs and recon grapplers 295-70-18. The ride is sooo much better ride. Now time to find matching bronze to paint the red emblems...

Truck looks great! Did you come from a 20" wheel? I ask because you said it rides much better and I am debating on what size wheel I want to go with. I have a Thuren 2" leveling spring, Fox shocks and also Thuren sway bar & track bar to install and from what I'm reading that in itself will help with ride quality. Thx

Yes. The limited NE 20" wheels. While the tires are about .75" bigger, the side wall is 28% bigger going to the 295/70/18s vs. stock. Definitely helps smooth the ride. I am running 65 psi up front and 55 psi in the rear for now and it rides really good. All stock suspension as Im waiting on my Carli kit from CJC... There seems to me to be more tire options for 18" vs 20" and the load ratings are most often better and the tires usually cost less in the 18". I would do 20s if i was going to run 37s but i dont need a setup like that right now.

Completed my exterior LED swap on my Bighorn from the awful halogens. Used the OEM LED housings and harnesses from RetroShop. I also used Diode Dynamics fogs, anti-flicker modules and 3rd brake light bulbs. I’m really happy with how it turned out!

Started wiring my ditch lights that came in the mail today. I got as far as I could until the rest of my connectors arrive. If anyone has any recommendations on where to tap into for a running lights source I would appreciate it. If not I may just put a fuse tap into the clearance lights fuse.

Did you want those switched or on any time your running lights are on? I’d think switched, no?

Yes and no lol. Switched for the main white light. These also have a dim amber backlight that I want to have turn on via the running lights source.
