Camping

Its fall. Two weeks ago in mid October I went to my favorite lake. One of the campsites has been open all year. This time everything was closed. I just parked my trailer next to the campsite off the road in the trees. One night three wildlife biologists came by. No one else around. A great trip. Heading out today Nov 1 for a local campground. It is not too high, only 5000 feet. I will be cooking dinner for a friend that will be stopping by. Beef stew in a Dutch Oven, fresh squeezed apple juice from press yesterday. Happy Fall.

First trip of the year. Chaumont River near the St Lawrence Seaway in NY. Quiet little park we found on a whim. Truck and camper did well.

Went up to Mountain Ridge ATV park with the gf this weekend. was a great time. super hot. very breezy. sunday had to pack up the site and we sat in the camper watching movies while it stormed its butt off. The windmills were wild. they never went over a certain speed, and would stop spinning, then start back up, all at the same time. at times were pretty noisy. but not so loud to bother us.

trip up, had 30 gallons of fuel and 100 gallons of water in the camper, along with 2 atv's. bed of the truck had the blackstone, tools, firewood, full cooler and other supplies. 2 dogs in the back seat and the gf and i. my gps took me up through the cotoctan mountains which was twists and turns up the mountains, then once we got close to the atv park i had to pull 9% grade for 8 miles or so and also twisty roads. my truck worked for this trip. camper is about 11.5 - 12k on this trip

Forest camping in Tuscarora to get us closer to Carlisle All Trucks Nationals.

I know most like to RV, which we do too. But man is the Crew Cab Long Bed so great for family tent camping trips.

And we look so unassuming, like we are just construction guys getting home. No one ever knows what we are doing...

My friend said it looked like a UFO landed in our site. I never realized how big our tent is. So we put our backpacking tent inside it, with a queen and 2 twin air mattresses and 4 chaIMG_20240803_082101.jpgIMG_20240803_084137.jpgIMG_20240803_082145.jpgIMG_20240804_135509.jpgIMG_20240804_145558.jpgIMG_20240804_113946.jpgIMG_20240804_114011.jpgIMG_20240804_114023.jpgIMG_20240804_114105.jpgIMG_20240804_131619.jpgirs...

Our recent trip to the Outback.
It was the Truck’s maiden voyage and she impressed us both so much.
