Thanks to all. We got the key on relay wired and working. Currently we have a dumb no light toggle switch completing the ground.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071H9KWL...abc_D180XXY7FTZNKWW9M6VH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Is it possible to wire this switch on a switched ground so that the led comes on when the switch is pressed? I'm thinking the switch will work to complete the ground, but tying led power into it will have the led on, then when pressed the led will turn off, opposite of what we want.

So we got the switch in and it works the way described above.

I need some help from someone with more knowledge about electronics than I have. I have attached a very bad picture below that has 2 diagrams. The first I was able to test the switch and it lights up when pressed, triggering both relays (what we want) The second is a proposed solution, which I think would be preferred, using a resistor instead of a relay. The relays used have a 81.6Ohm measurement between terminal 85 and 86. No fuses are shown, but will be placed appropriately. I am only questioning how to wire the triggering portion of the relay, the load part, I understand. The negative switched part is what's causing me grief. I have several questions with this setup:

PXL_20211220_145444211.jpg

1) Is this safe?
2) What size resistor should be used 1/4w, 1/2w, etc?
3) Does the resistor have to match the relay exactly, or could it be 60Ohms or 100Ohms?

Thanks in advance!

Edit... Actually this is not a good long term solution. While it does work, it causes a voltage drop that will cause the relay to have an abnormally high amp draw over the coil leading to issues later on. The best solution so far is to change up the wiring a little and make the added circuit positive switched.

As someone posted elsewhere... I used to hold the flashlight for my Dad, so you can't hurt my feelings!

Hi All,

I've been reading and rereading this thread for a while and wanted to save my input until after I finished adding the Aux switches to try and make everything a little easier to understand. A huge thank you to member Atty who was great at helping me answer a few questions I had at the get go. I put together the following video and loaded it to my YouTube channel for anyone who wants to follow along on what I did. I included the part numbers for most everything I could think of in the description of the video - hope this helps!

If you have any questions for me on what I did, feel free to shoot me a message.

I also forgot to mention prices for the whole install. The breakdown for everything I purchased is detailed in the description of the video. All up, it cost about $370.

Based on the table below I need part 68376644 but the website I am looking at says doesn't fit my 2021. Anyone use this part on a 2021?

Thank you

When the website that you're purchasing from is comparing the number it is comparing it against what your vehicle features were when it was sold. Therefor because your vehicle wasn't equipped with the Aux switches it will say it doesn't fit your model. Before this table was found/created the only way to get a part number for an item you wanted to upgrade was to find a vehicle that was the same year/model/level that had the features and look up the switch part number from the vehicle using it's VIN. Maybe if you really want to compare to make sure that the number is correct for you, is to find a vehicle for sale (online) that is the same year/make/model get it's VIN and use that one on the website that you're looking at purchasing through? Or using the table look up the part number for what's in your truck and see what the website says about "fitting" it should confirm that the one in your truck is the same as what is in the table.

Thank you. I bought part number 68376644 and it works flawless on my 21.

I don't see that this was posted anywhere, and it's always best to find a truck VIN with AUX matching your other features, but this AUX switch decoder chart was seen on the sister site 5thgenrams. I don't know the true source, use at your own risk.

#38 and #42 appear to have the same marks.

I think #42 is correct and #38 should be on traction control and not on Exhaust brake.

Them Mopar graphics are so poor I ordered #38 and assumed it was the one I needed according to the chart.

It appears so. I didn't make the chart, just found it online.

Good info if you have something that shows the panel, I can make note of it.

I'm all in. Like the factory setup and all but man a 6 shooter BT setup allows for hidden switches, phone app, no wires ran into the cab and for like 300$

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Also, if the six aux switch wires are already populated on the connector that plugs into the switch bank, then their next stop is the xy125 connector at the driver side footwell-

Has any body accessed the Aux wirea from the XY125A connector?

Do I need the male or female pin to insert?

Anybody got the # or spec of the crimp connector I need? (I know wire guage is .35)

Thanks

I wanted to clarify all that I will need for the AUX switches. Looks like I have the AUX PDC.

I think all I need:

  1. AUX switches
  2. wire gray connectors from AUX switches to firewall.
  3. wires to connect devices (light bar etc)
What I am not sure about it the Harness that @Jimmy07 was talking about that goes to the left side etc...

Yes - I am assuming that the bag of wires that you can order. Also there are 2 grey connectors that look lik ethey come from the AUX switches out to the PDC.

I got the wiring kit from paul. once you have that, and install, alfa will allow changes to activate the buttons.
Whos Paul?
He makes these wiring kits?

I am trying to get my AUX PDC fully functional. I got a 2021 and would need further guidance.

Thanks
