Yeah I’ve been having these issuesIs it normal for a dealer to give you a hard time getting financing numbers before picking up your truck?, Its seems like they're doing everything possible just to get me in the door first.

Those screen shots can be misleading. A lot of these dealers really don't know how to read it, or they are not privy to the entire production sheet and only get a one line entry. Either way, I promise you that whatever @brv10 said, it's gospel. He has never been wrong in my almost 2 years of stalking these forumsYeah. The dealer sent me a shot showing I was KZ and it seemed fast so I asked here and brv10 told me I was actually JB… so I’m not sure they actually know the status. They probably just know they’ve been invoiced… oh well. Thanks for that insight.
Issue I'm having its the loan amount, I have a good credit score(over 800) but I don't have a lot of money to put down, I got preapproval from a bank but they won't do a loan this large. I don't want to keep applying because it will drop my credit score. I guess I may have to take what the dealer has and try to refinance later on.I wouldn’t say it’s out of the ordinary. Last year I just got pre approved for financing at a rate I was happy with and sent it to the dealer. Told them if the beat it I would go with their financing and if not I would use the pre approval. Cut the bs very quickly.
Dealer has zero influence. I ordered from Mark Dodge this year and last and they sell 500-700 vehicles a month, and the only dealer in the US to win an award last year for selling a vehicle in all 50 states. Last year JB for 59 days, this year since 2/8 for 52 days and counting. We are at the mercy of Stellantis and whatever rhyme or reason they use to move vehicles alongI've been pondering how much influence a dealer has on the build-ship process. Do larger volume dealers get fast-tracked, does the priority level chosen on the order form influence the speed, if a dealer is slow to pay does that place the member in KZ hold? I've been sitting in JB (KZ on the RAM tracker) since Feb 25th.
Great looking truck! And the best news I've heard all week that they fixed the recall before it left. Now if they could follow through with all of the others sitting down there in the same boat, including mine. I just checked the NHTSA website and mine still shows a recallPicked mine up on Monday. The recall had been fixed at the factory before shipping. Ordered on 9/30 originally. Order was changed by Ram in November. Dealer Re-ordered end of November and it showed up last week.
I second that. I sent brv my order info once it shipped and in 20 minutes he came back with the railcar and timing and location. Which when calling Union Pacific they matched exactly. I didn't have to call the dealer at all. I think we owe brv a starbucks gift card or something. Those screen shots can be misleading. I'll third that notion too. BRV's info was always spot on. I took delivery of my truck Monday and the tracker still says "TBD" for the delivery date. When it would finally update, the latest step was days to a week off from when it actually updated. The only time my dealer had any solid info was when it was off the train at the last yard waiting to be brought to the dealer.I second that. Mine still showed an arrival day of 3/21 on 3/20, then sometime in the middle of the night it changed to TBD. Needless to say it still sits in Mexico………….Mine on tracker still shows TBD on shipping with April 7 delivery date. Don't have my hopes up on that. I retired my suburban already over some emissions and electrical problems I'm not going to fix, so the wife and I are down to a single ram 1500 to drive. Good news is the short term Treasury bills I had put my truck money in matured today, so not sweating that anymore. So I'm ready. Glad to see y'all who ordered as far back as Sept are finally getting your trucks.
Did yours have the recall?Mine still showed an arrival day of 3/21 on 3/20, then sometime in the middle of the night it changed to TBD. Needless to say it still sits in Mexico………….
Actually, they had a few '23s that weren't fixed at the factory. So not sure what's going on. Maybe from my build (late February) on they will have the fix done. Now to hope the Aisin doesn't blow up on me.Great looking truck! And the best news I've heard all week that they fixed the recall before it left. I think, and I could be wrong, but all trucks built after 2/1 had the new relay.Actually, they had a few '23s that weren't fixed at the factory. So not sure what's going on. Maybe from my build (late February) on they will have the fix done. Now to hope the Aisin doesn't blow up on me.
My truck was built Mar 3. Plugged in VIN to NHTSA check for recalls and have none. Still waiting for it to depart the plant. Estimated arrival Apr 27. Needs to ship soon to meet that date.I think, and I could be wrong, but all trucks built after 2/1 had the new relay.
Perseverance.
It’s been 11 weeks to the day since the motocross community rescued us after our truck broke down due to an over torqued spark plug. (see previous posts) The 2016 Ram 2500 is still in the shop.
Meanwhile, we had no idea the dealer even ordered this truck without our deposit until about three weeks ago. The other new one is missing gooseneck prep and will not be here for another 6-8 weeks. We negotiated the same price and bought this one instead.
