I just talked to Cummins, it's not their issue, it's Rams, they are working on it quickly to keep things moving.
Sounds like classic finger pointing Cummins says Mopar problem, Mopar says Cummins problem, no one has clearcut action to Fix?

Are they gonna fix it and take care of you?

Ill be in a bad mood if my wheels and tires show up and my truck doesnt.
Yes truck is at a auto body now waiting for new bumper . I just got pics it’s far from caved in but 2 good size dents on each side of license plate bracket . Just annoyed that my truck finally arrived now have to wait another 2-3 weeks for some 100% preventable

This should clearly be a RAM issue to solve. They are responsible for power delivery to the engine, if there is an issue with a relay RAM will be responsible.

Well, my truck is populated on mopar.com but not on the equipment list site. Guess it will happen soon.

I can't tell you how many times I have passed a car carrier and noticed two vehicles making contact or a chain dangling down on the hood or roof of a vehicle. You would think that stuff would be noticed when loading the truck. Crazy!

Pretty sad that it survived a train trip from Mexico to Massachusetts yet a 45 mins trailer ride and it gets damaged

I finally pulled the trigger. Can’t hold my breath for Stellantis to grow a brain and do their upgrades so I ordered a new Patriot Blue 2022 SRW Limited 3500, long bed, 4x4, Night Edition with all the extra goodies, I mean all, the 50 gal tank and dual alternators, basically the only thing I didn’t get is the upfitter modual and back up alarm.
today from Renae at Mark Dodge in Louisiana. 5% under invoice! Yes you read that right! $83,379. I guess that’s how they do all their pricing. Sales folks are on salary. Did it over the phone and in minutes. I’m not sure if the forum allows me to post email but she said it ok so I will. Rjamieson@markdodge.net.
I now get to start the 5 month wait! After waiting 2 years to pull the trigger I thought it’d be easy to wait 5 months. I’m wrong! Ordered Saturday and now the salivating begins.
I still will get another one in a few years when they finally do get the new gen 5 cab and new tranny, what I was waiting for. I mean they have to eventually grow a brain right? I’m so tired of the Covid BS and everything THEY say IT caused but it seems the FCA stupidity started long ago.
If they just worked the Gen 5 cab to fit the HD trucks and got the Allison or ZF transmission that’s already made for the Cummins I’d think it would cement there lead as the top truck and even convert a lot of GM or Ford folks to RAM folks!
BY THE WAY FORUM FOLKS, you all are the best! I’ve learned so much and have had a great time doing so.

SALTILLO TRUCK ASSEMBLY PLANT SPOKANE, WA 10/11/21 05:15:00 PM 10/29/2021 08:53:00 PM
Ram chat says the same thing.

I hope they are correct in their estimation. it would put me at 14 weeks.

The engine is Cummins part, not the electrical part of the truck.

Speaking of vehicles damaged in transit, I once witnessed a couple truck drivers unloading cars off a nine car hauler at a rental car lot. They lowered part of the trailer down on top of the hood of a new vehicle on the lower deck. Both drivers looked around and unloaded the car quickly and parked it on the lot and walked away without saying anything. I saw the manager of the rental lot and told him what I'd seen. He went and found the damaged vehicle and thanked me. He said if I hadn't spoken up, the rental company would have had to pay for the damage.

Nah, they would have just charged some poor sap that rented it and didn't notice it at check out. I know this is true as they tried to charge for it once and fortunately I always take pics of any damage prior to leaving the lot and the pics include it being in the lot so they can't dispute it

Submitted my build sheet to order a 2022 Ram 2500 Laramie w/ a Cummins. They said night edition could not be ordered in a Laramie package. Anyone know why? Have they limited production lines to streamline supply?
They have limited supply and the chip shortage on top of that....and the focus is where the money is...i.e. Longhorn Limited and Limited's. That's where Ram makes their money... therefore....that's where the parts go first. My dealer did tell me back in late June 2021 that the top two levels get the priority whether they are sold vehicles or dealer order for the dealer lots. The Limited's will always will get the parts either way (you might have to wait). A customer ordered vehicle will get what's ordered/available at that time.....that is how it was on July 1st when I ordered my loaded Laramie (but I might have to wait a while to get it). Since then the situation has changed as too many lower level trucks have been ordered and the supply chain/Chips can't keep up....so Ram took away certain items on the lower levels that were once an option i.e. the Laramie's and Big horns. I think Ram see it like this....if the customer wants a certain option bad enough....the customer WILL order the top of the line Trucks. If I had it to do it all over again...knowing that I would have to wait....just didn't know how long and still don't know how much longer for the loaded Laramie...I would have ordered a Limited....knowing now how short certain supply chain items are....just my two cents.

Another thing is I think if you order packages to get certain items it will hit production quicker i.e.....like I did......I didn't order the Max tow package (because I didn't want the factory fifth wheel hitch) I ordered the rear air suspension, 4.10's and the 5th Wheel Prep package all separate....I think this slows things down...but I could be wrong.

I see it going to Memphis and Nashville, Zone 42 must be huge!
I am in Memphis, wonder why am I Zone 63-Dallas? That was the pre-VIN POC said. The most recent POC doesn't list a zone.

Found this list of zones from 1994
31 Boston
32 New York
33 Philadelphia
35 Washington (DC)
41 Cincinnati
42 Detroit
43 Pittsburgh
44 Syracuse
51 Chicago
52 Kansas City
53 Minneapolis
54 St. Louis
55 Milwaukee
61 Atlanta
62 Houston
63 Dallas
64 Memphis
65 New Orleans
66 Orlando
67 Charlotte
69 Phoenix
71 Los Angeles
72 Portland
73 San Francisco
74 Denver

Then this article that says the zones are being reduced to 8 in 2022
