Got a text from my sales guy. My truck is sitting at the rail yard in Kirby, TX (literally 8 miles from my house) waiting for a semi ride to the dealership.

Does anyone know of an upgrade for the 115V outlet in the bed of the 22MY? The 400W is good for charging an electric toothbrush but not much else.

There's nothing plug and play. The inside and outside 120V outlets are powered by the same inverter. I guess you could install your own somewhere and wire the bed outlet to that, but at that point you may as well leave the stock one alone and just wire up a separate one for high draw loads.

What are you looking to run? The 400w is plenty for charging tool batteries or a laptop, heated blankets, fridges, fans, a coffee pot, etc. It's likely a modified sine wave inverter though, not pure sine, so I wouldn't run sensitive electronics from it directly.

Congrats! I have to say you win the award for patience! That is an extremely long time to wait for arrival. I’m sure Ram or at least your dealership is throwing in a few IOU’s at you.

I highly doubt they will throw any bones my way. My uncle works for Chrysler so i get family/friends pricing. Also, with the $2k in rebates plus the $500 i get off through my work i should be at $67544 which is about $10k below msrp. Just gotta wait for the 2 recalls to be cleared now.

Hello
I just ordered a 2023 truck pretty similar to yours, I was wondering if you have hooked up anything to the VSIM? I did not order that option on the advice of my salesman, but I am wondering if I should add it?
My plans are to use the truck for a new camper I am going to order, I will be adding an air compressor (200amp draw) and mabey a few reverse lights. The salesman said the VSIM is more for commercial use, and PTO ect.

So since you have one on your truck, I was hoping to see what experiences you have had with it, or any advice you may pass on

Thank you
Steve

Looks cool and all, but personally, I would not be able to risk my warranty coverage to do something like that. Just gives them an easy out if you have some engine problems.

CONGRATS! Great looking truck. Its crazy guys in the 2022 thread are still waiting to take delivery. How they choose what trucks to build and ship is truly bewildering.
Yep, and now it sits at the dealer waiting for the recalls to be fixed

Well, look at it this way. At least you know where it is at the dealer. It's not in some Production black hole or on a train somewhere. Still no less frustrating for sure. I feel for you diesel guys being so close to taking delivery only to have a stupid recall make you wait longer.

If you have a bench seat for 2022/23 3500 and got the Mopar floor mats. Do the front floor mats cover the front hump? It looks like the husky xact floor liners are passenger and driver footwells but then you buy a separate transmission hump mat for the front. Is that correct?

I have a Powerwagon with the floor shifter up there, so not sure this applies to regular 2500 and 3500s. My carpet mats and all the rubber ones all do not cover the hump. The mats just sit in the driver and passenger foot wells. I ended up replacing my carpet ones with the mopar rubber all weather ones. I was a little disappointed they didn't cover under the gas pedal area enough where melting snow will fall, but I'm sure that's some legal CYA thing after the Toyota floor mats getting stuck under accelerators years ago.

Thanks. I won't have the shifter. I think my research is pointing to the Husky Xact center hump individual piece will be required to buy.
