My combination of 3.73s and 37s is the same final ratio of the 4th gen trucks with stock tires and 3.42s. I plan on adding some HP. More HP combined with 37s is the reason I may be changing when they become available.

I could almost swear the PXL I looked at on the lot had 4.11s. I guess not since they don't have them yet.

It could have had 4.10's using OEM gears.

Much adventure over the past three weekends. Spent lots of time in the Tuscarora State Forest, Hickory Run State Park and Rothrock State Forest. Here are a few recent pictures:

I was just in Rothrock last night. Would have been cool to see you.

I love traveling the dirt in Central PAScreenshot_20211022-101415.png
This route here is almost 90 percent off pavement. Well over 500 miles...with options for well over 1000.

It goes from Rothrock to Moahannon through Sproul down through Pine Creek across Bald Eagle and back through Rothrock.

I would love to share info with you.

My route through Rothrock Last night was just spur of the moment. Lots of hunters there last night.

I will be keeping a lookout for ya...

Hoping to stroll through Moshannon on the weekend.

I can not wait to spend more time in Tuscarora.

Ah, this brings back memories. I lived in State College for over a decade and spent a bit of time driving on many of these forest roads. They're surprisingly well maintained and accessible to many. Now I live in a more urban area and not a day goes by that I don't wish I could drive those forest roads again.

Thanks for your post!

We take the dirt every chance we get. It is how I go to State College now. And how I go to Philipsburg and Clearfield too.

I got all kind if off pavement travel routes for the area. And with the complete change that happened at campgrounds these past 2 years...we go to the motorized sites in the forest now. So much of a better experience.

Glad I could take you down memory lane.

I do not use their Facebook page either...but I do use 3 local groups to me. It helps me know where to stay away from when they plan group rides...hahaha
Dude, I’m with you. I can’t stand organized off road trail ride events. Rather 2-4 rigs to and have a chill day

I know I'm not part of this convo but I'm butting in because I couldn't agree more. I want to go with a few rigs both for fun and primarily because I've currently got no self recovery gear (a winch is on my list).

I've gone on a few rides and once you get to double digits it's just lost all fun. You end up just sitting on the trail behind a huge line of vehicles and it's no fun at all.

Out adventuring again this weekend in the mountains of Pennsylvania in the western part of Rothrock State Forest. It's was 27° F a few hours ago but no wind so it is a beautiful night. Here are a few pictures of my drive to the mountains:

Hall's Mill covered bridge near Hopewell, Pennsylvania. Anytime I see a structure with height or width limitations I am interested if the vehicle will fit or now. Parking garages seem to be the largest problem along with the occasional drive through. There have also been a handful of older bridges where I have been very careful.

America's oldest gas station - Reighard's in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It's still a full service station where they pump your gasoline, wash your windshield and check your oil. They have been open since 1909. My choice was to run only Top Tier gasoline and I have been using Shell exclusively.

How does the heater in that thing work on colder nights? I'm assuming that you still have to bundle up but that it at least keeps things moderately warm?

Reighard's is where I bought my diesel at and bought gas most times until I started using E15 88 octane.

State College...yep...enough said

Here are a few shots while exploring the western section of Rothrock State Forest in Pennsylvania. My goal over the past several weekends was to spend as much time on the twisty backroads and forest service roads in central Pennsylvania. After well over one thousand miles of hilly backroads with countless sharp turns and easily over one hundred miles off-road I am quite happy with my RAM 3500, AEV Prospector and FWC Grandby combination.

I stopped and spent time at this location just watching and listening - very relaxing.

Here is another beautiful vista where I could see for miles and miles.

Lincoln Caverns were nearby so I stopped in for a tour. It was nice to be able to relax and have lots of room in the truck afterwards to prepare for the journey home.
