Aslong as you dont see temps below 10*F you should be fine without a grid heater anyway (I usually skip the preheat at any temps above that) and if you see lower than that i would be plugging the truck in anywayOk. So I'm the guy that uses a torque wrench on my drain plug, and this may be a bit overboard also.
I disconnected the relay from the battery, stuck the cable end into a finger of a thick rubber glove, and taped it up. Zip tied the taped up end to the fender strut, and called it isolated. This should take care of any fire danger until next year when the new parts are available. Any issues with doing this? Jimmy07 said I shouldn't throw any codes, so I'm thinking I should be good.
