AlfaOBD

I'm trying to make this change too and I'm hoping going to Body Control then back to Comfort works for me. But I have one question - this only applies to seat temps, correct? Or does this apply to the HVAC thresholds? Because that's what I'm really wanting to change.
Not sure if there’s a setting for adjusting HVAC temps. I thought it used your last settings. I only adjusted the temps for the seats’ heat and vent set points.

I've read about "last settings" working for other people, but it has never worked for me in this truck ('24 2500). My HVAC only kicks on when set to "auto" and the temps are above/below whatever the truck is set to and if I leave the regular AC or heat on, nothing happens until I get in and push the start button. I want to adjust those temps so the ac/heat come on with remote start if it is warmer or cooler in the cab. So far, I have not been able to find any such setting in Alpha.

So I've been reading through the thread and must have missed it. I was sure there would be something about an LED headlight upgrade.

My 2024 2500 Big Horn has non-projector halogen headlights. I am going to upgrade them with a pair of Morimoto XB Hybrid LED units.

Do I need to do anything with AlfaOBD in the BCM to do this upgrade? Are there any options to select specific DRL's vs. using the stock low beams?

Here are the LF704 headlights I've chosen:

Thanks for any advice you may have!
I can confirm what @JustARam22 has previously written: the Morimoto XB are plug and play.

The headlights are great by the way. The only thing I don't like is that you cannot turn them off. Even when the headlight switch is in the "off" position, your daytime running lights will be on. For on-road driving this is fine, but I don't want the lights coming on when I'm camping. Every time you unlock the truck, the running lights come on. If you are in a campground, its a little obnoxious; if you are in the middle of nowhere, it introduces artificial light when you just don't want or need it. But this is what you call a first world problem ;)

Instead of connecting to the body computer, you’ll connect to the comfort seats and wheel module. That’s where you’ll find the auto on temp limits adjustments:

I have a 24 PW. I have the kaodtech bypass, AlfaOBD on a tablet and have done numerous things with Alfa over the years. I’m trying to adjust my threshold temps but I cannot connect to the comfort module however everything is working fine. Any pointers or troubleshooting to try?

I think I read a post here that someone said they connected to the Body Control first, then went back to the Comfort Module and it worked. I have not tried that yet but I;m hoping it works for us tablet users.

I tried that unfortunately it didn’t work. I had a 1500 and now my power wagon and been a long term user of AlfaOBD and this is my first issue with it. I’m hoping tomorrow is a new day and I’ll try again. Those leather seats are chilly in the morning lol

Bummer I was hoping that would work! I’m with ya, they do get chilly. I wish any climate/seat settings just when back to the last setting during regular or remote starts.

Does anyone know if its possible to code a SRW truck TPMS to read 6 wheels for a DRW conversion?

I have a 2020 HO and have been having DPF issues, I have used a Vlinker MC+ with Forscan on my apple phone before to read codes and add a few features. I am replacing the DPF today and bought AlfaOBD so I can let the ECU know I am replacing the DPF. I installed alfaobd, when I try to connect my windows laptop to the vlinker, it shows connected, then 10 seconds later shows not connected. When searching for bluetooth devices both vlinker ios and android show up and I have tried both. Any ideas?

If this has been asked, I apologize ahead of time, I did some searching but couldn't find a clear answer.

So I am installing a Fish tuning bypass cable from thoroughbred diesel, and the while following the instructions, I got a little confused.
Instructions state online 6. Locate the green “Star” connector above the parking brake. For 2018 plug the harness into any empty space, for 2019-2022 plug the harness into the fifth position from the left at the bottom. (the following is added on the paper instructions) "If and only if that fifth position is filled, carefully and temporarily remove what is there ands then replace it once you have flashed your vehicle."

My 2 questions were, What would be plugged into the fifth location? and, Does that make this bypass cable not a permanent install? Which i believe this will be the case. would there be any permanent solutions?

Pic below is my "Star" connector. Was marked with the blue marker previous to my purchase. and yes the fish wire is in the wrong slot in the picture, I did that temporarily as a reference point.

Appreciate any input!

So with a little research, some ICAR info and some help from a diesel mechanic, I think I have the answer to my own question. Wanted to post in case this helps someone in the future, Or if I am wrong to be corrected.

The fifth slot was used on my star connector in the row closest to the dash, the row behind it, the fifth slot was open, power probed and checked for proper voltage, and moved the plug back one row, and placed the bypass wire in the fifth slot, as desired by the instructions. AlphaOBD now works as it should.
