Hi Folks,
All the great postings here have helped me troubleshoot so much. Thanks.
I have a 2022 2500 Limited Longhorn Crew Cab. It came with digital review mirror (part of safety package option), bumper connection to the mirror and also the trailer surround-view camera option.
I go to order the rear trailer camera kit 68527599AA, and dealer says my vin can't use it (there are notes in the order sheets about having both camera options and they are not compatible - BUNK). . I order it anyway.
Kit arrives and I plug it into the rear left camera. NO VIEW on the mirror.
So I start checking all the cabling. Camera works plugged into mirror. I trace back wiring, checking along the way - a ton of work.
Can't find anything!
Finally, I find the culprit. The back received plug on the bumper and the cable plug which plug into it are just slightly mismatched in size, so no connection was being made. I am sure others have gone crazy over the same issue (including Detroit).
So, the fix was SIMPLE. I put a bit of aluminum foil in the hole side, and expanded the male part by opening the slot a bit.
Bingo, everything worked.
This is likely the cause of many intermittent connections as well.

Side notes:
1. If you need to troubleshoot the rest of the cable, you will need BOTH the female-female and male-female Fakra cords. Just order the blue color plug ones - they are universal to all Fakra types. The low cost antenna connection grade is fine for testing things.
2. You can use a VOM to test connections from point to point.
