If you mean the normal DRVM, it appears unchanged from 2022 and standalone. I'm planning on just adding the 2022 parts to mine when it shows up.
If you mean the new 3.0 DRVM with the side view cameras, that looks to be a fair bit more complicated. I doubt anyone has tried yet.
RE: the 3.0 DRVM - The only caveat I can think of is it's not available without the trailer steer and I seem to recall @Jimmy07 mentioning there may have been some technical limitation to prevent it working if you tried to DIY. I wouldn't attempt without reaching out the the resident expert.
Always solid advice, but what I said was based on either a post in another thread Jimmy made or some PM's with him. The 3.0 mirror has some sort of separate CPVM processor that's under the driver's seat (I think), separate from the 360 CPVM.

Anyone know if the 3.0 mirror/TRSC package is even actually available? The mirror and processor aren’t even searchable in the parts database (while all others are). But, if those parts were to be available to buy, it shouldn’t be too bad adding them. The camera processor isn’t on the bus, so nothing needs to be enabled. Other than that, it’s just power, ground, and a few coax fakra cables.Always solid advice, but what I said was based on either a post in another thread Jimmy made or some PM's with him. I ordered a truck with the DRVM 3.0 and TRSC. It's currently scheduled for a 2/8 build.Anyone know if the 3.0 mirror/TRSC package is even actually available? The mirror is on the same linbus as the humidity sensor, and nothing needs to be enabled for it to work. It’s just asking the BCM if it can display the camera image on initial startup, and looking for reverse gear for when the tow mode camera is used so it can pan down.I ordered a truck with the DRVM 3.0 and TRSC. Is the DRVM itself connected to the bus? If so, it's possible something needs to be enabled there before it shows the UI to select the additional views.
I've been wondering if the new 3.0 system could be using the same mirror as the non 3.0 system. There's not much new the mirror itself has to do other than the UI for view selection. The camera processor (presumably) will be doing all the hard work of combining the multiple cameras into one video output for the mirror to display. The mirror is on the same linbus as the humidity sensor, and nothing needs to be enabled for it to work. So, it’s been a week or so since I last checked the 2023 mirrors parts list, and I just checked now and the list is completely different. Previously, it listed only GRG mirrors as the same part number as 2022, and the GNQ (3.0) mirror had no part number and its line item was grayed out.I've been wondering if the new 3.0 system could be using the same mirror as the non 3.0 system. Those can be added to the new mirrors after the fact, as there are part numbers for the cameras and bezels. You’ll also need the side mirrrors with the extra camera. It’s mounted above the rear facing utility light. If you watch some of the Rebel review videos you can see them.
Well that makes things a lot easier. That seems very out of normal for them to actually make the components available and not just the entire assembly. Those can be added to the new mirrors after the fact, as there are part numbers for the cameras and bezels.
how well will the camera view through the rear glass on the topper? I'm thinking of mounting my rearview mirror camera there on my smartcapV4 and final version of the topper-mounted digital rear view camera! VERY happy with the final version. It fits like a glove. Actual finished print will be in PETG or ASA. I will spray it to match the black paint of the truck and top coat it with a UV inhibitor. Or maybe ill just leave it matte black since PETG is UV resistant...
The camera and the cable fit snugly inside. It all works and looks great! I will post some pics of the actual mirror display when i get everything else connected and put back together.
I am now taking orders....

I think the pics show a housing for on top of the topper. I, however, use one on the inside of my cap and it’s fine. Rough when sloppy driving but that is the case when I’m using the same camera on the back of my trailer.how well will the camera view through the rear glass on the topper? what did you use to mount the digital rearview mirror camera to the inside of your cap?I think the pics show a housing for on top of the topper. I posted on that here: https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/adding-camera-to-digital-rearview-mirror.7679/post-216015what did you use to mount the digital rearview mirror camera to the inside of your cap?
