2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Reached out to Sandi today, she confirmed my truck has been released from the plant and is waiting on a train ticket. She went on to say this about shipping "Due to the rail back log across North America, it has been taking a couple weeks to get a ticket. Once it is on the train, I will have a better idea of when we will receive it."

I'm not in a time crunch to get it...yet. I'm still trying to t/s the boat and get that out of our hair, before the wife will talk about going to Lake Charles. I do want to get this financing done before my official discharge date at the end of April 30th.
Mine was built 3/5 (equipment list on 3/7) and it has been shipped to a storage yard. Estimated to be there until 3/22 waiting for a train. So I don't even think 3/22 is my est ship date. Maybe that's the release date?

Will I not see a window sticker until it is released?

Not sure if that is entirely correct. I’ve had window sticker since 2/20 but stuck in JSLD. Is the truck not released/invoiced until KZ status?
I think you are right. The whole vendor thing throws a wrench into things.

Hmm, haven't seen that happen yet... I got the EL on the 3rd and the Sticker on the 6th. Normally the Sticker comes after shakedown, QA, and it's deemed ready to sell.

Same here. Haven’t seen any window stickers show up more than a couple days after the equipment list date .

Basically there are no equipment lists that stay alone without a MONRONEY. Really hope mine is not the first equip list to be idle for weeks.

I just went back through and looked at the list for ELs posting this month (3/1 - 3/9). 32 trucks being tracked here were issued an EL and only 3 of those are DRWs (including mine). 3 of those 32 are LL SRWs.

hate to be that guy but I cant find the rail tracking outline on what numbers to call and how to track your trucks train. I have tracking number, if anyone can share the list on how to call the rail companies that would be awesome.

Just for fun I asked RamChat for an update.... apparently my truck is in Kansas, maybe I'm not paying as much attention to this forum as I thought I had been, cause this is new to me

I think it's back a few pages...just saw it the other day... UPDATE JUST FOUND IT, POSTED BELOW

Be careful with your expectation for trading in based on KBB. I am only 1 data point but just went through this. In prep for my soon arriving 2022 3500 I am selling my 2013 2500. The KBB instant cash offer by several dealers in my area was ~$33k while my KBB trade in value report had a range of $38-42k. Every dealer that looked at it balked because it was a manual transmission. They all claimed they had no market for manual and KBB doesn't correctly factor for manual transmission. My wife posted it on FB marketplace for $40k and we had offers out the you know what, and almost a bidding war. She replied to each making sure they knew it was a manual. Each of the offers wanted our truck because it was a manual. Should be finalizing the sale in a day or 2. The bottom line is I believe KBB is overstated as far as what dealers will give you for trade in value. But again I am 1 data point.
I sold my 2018 Expedition in preparation for my ordered 3500. KBB price was $27k and I had dealers calling and emailing like crazy. I wanted to get $30k. On a whim, I stopped by a Carmax and they gave me $35k. Done deal and I didn’t have to list it.

That seems odd since there is a train yard in the Houston area. Seem like that would be the logical pass though rather than Kansas.

I just did this for fun to see what kind of discrepancy there would be. I’ve NEVER heard the city Kansas mentioned at all in the process, so like I said maybe I missed something in the last four months.

That's awsome, kbb was higher when I looked.. dealer offered more then either..

Every time I've reached out about my Longhorn, I'm been told "Check back soon". Still D1 as well, I've blown past build and ship dates, dealer has no clue when they're going to receive it. We all should've ordered Limiteds and Katzkins at this rate.

My recent response has been "Your order has been scheduled. This means all the parts have been received and it will begin the build in the next few weeks." Can't tell me when it's scheduled for, or how many a "few weeks" is, but maybe by Christmas we'll all get our Longhorns.

Ugh. So frustrating. Maybe there's a shortage of black/tan cows for the interior . . .

I was really hoping this would be our week.

Yep, that's why we're frustrated. I think I counted 17 LLs that were built from Nov/Dec orders while the 6 unloved Oct LLs sat waiting . . .
@tyler2you , @ElkRam and the other three October LL orders.... seeing later LL orders being built/shipped is incredibly frustrating and makes a person wonder what in the sam he!! are they doing. In checking the window stickers of the built LL, they have substantially more options than mine does and in turn have a much higher price (and maybe a preferred build financially). I really wanted a Laramie but could only get power folding mirrors on a LL. The new Whitey is a fairly stripped LL with a 50 gal tank, the engine heater, snow chief group and the gooseneck prep. I have seen these items on the LL that have been built so I know they're not in short supply. Plus mine went D1 on December 9! Due to an incredibly kind soul here, I was informed that it now has a build date of March 14. I guess we'll see.
It was good to see @gator6 get his truck built!

Congrats. I am glad it worked out for you. Carmax was right there with the dealer offers I had. They just didn't know how what to do with a manual transmission. We just sold our 2013 2500 yesterday for $40k. We had to turn away well over 20 people that inquired. Now waiting for the train to arrive in Port Allen. Hopefully timing works out and we get to do a family spring break trip to Louisiana.

I’m just as baffled as you guys are. My build has stuck to a somewhat expected timeline. I’ve been chatting with @tyler2you about a couple LLs, one SRW and one DRW, that were ordered after mine (11/12) and both received their stickers in early February. Those two still aren’t marked green, but I also can’t say that I’ve seen the users active in the forum.

Yeah, it sucks seeing others get their trucks delivered in a shorter time. One day a few weeks back the exact same truck with the same options and color as the one I ordered delivered to someone that ordered 2 months after me.

I was told 20 weeks and I think at this point I’m 15 in and waiting shipping & delivery. Odd how some are jumping that timeline, but hats off to them.
