2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Canadian Order arrived in just two days over 3 months!! ! say that is pretty good!!

so sales guy texted and apparently my truck arrived yesterday! no updates from them at all on delivery, to let me know it was even on its way. just hey your truck has been here since yesterday!!. Kinda rubbed the wrong way about that especially since i live 4 hours from my dealer!. Only info I got was from a great member on here despite my dealer saying they will text me as soon as they know a shipping date! It sure scares a guy into thinking his truck was damaged considering i knew my truck was most likely sitting in a rail yard for a week and not a peep from my dealer. I even contacted to ask them about my truck and they just said its in shipping, we are not sure where it is, but will update you when I know better dates on its arrival......... as long as its not damaged and I think that is doubtful that is damaged given the timeline I will be a happy man! Just saying I was starting to get worried lol So should be going Friday or Saturday to pick it up! :) WIll post pictures
Wow, congrats!
When did you order your truck?

It doesn't help that the city of Jacksonville/Duval County just raised fuel related taxes at the pump. It's been in the local news.
I don't really follow local news recently...more focused on what's going on down range...but that doesn't surprise me. Gotta pay for the "LERP" and beautifying of downtown.

Reached out to Sandi today, she confirmed my truck has been released from the plant and is waiting on a train ticket. She went on to say this about shipping "Due to the rail back log across North America, it has been taking a couple weeks to get a ticket. Once it is on the train, I will have a better idea of when we will receive it."

I'm not in a time crunch to get it...yet. I'm still trying to t/s the boat and get that out of our hair, before the wife will talk about going to Lake Charles. I do want to get this financing done before my official discharge date at the end of April 30th.

Ugh. So frustrating. Maybe there's a shortage of black/tan cows for the interior . . .

I was really hoping this would be our week.

Me too. October Longhorns are in twilight zone.

My truck arrived at the railyard this morning! Hopefully they get it on a truck soon. It's only a 20 minute drive from there to my dealer.

i have been hoping for a tax reduction on fuel here! I know Alberta just annouced they are eliminating 13cent a litre tax to help with fuel prices! Not charge more, thats crazy lol

Hopefully your rail yard isn't as busy as mine. My truck got TO the rail yard on 3/1. Still waiting for it to hit the ground.

Must be us SRW Longhorns.

Looks like @gator6 ordered a DRW on 11/12 that's built and waiting on a train ride.
I'm sure they're doing them in batches. I want to say that my truck was done with several other DRWs at the time. Just need to look at recent rollouts to see if they're changing things up. Fingers crossed for you guys.

I wouldn't think Salt Lake city would be as busy as the much bigger cities.
Mine is Pearland, TX (suburb of Houston). I talked to the transport company that is assigned to take it to the dealer and they said that there are 5 different manufacturers that use that railyard, so it can take awhile for the vehicle to get off loaded.

You'd think they would have picked up the 4 LL, HO, 3500 SRWs from October to go along with that January build if they were "batching" them.

I'm surprised they wouldn't lead off with them before moving on to the DRW LLs. I thought I saw a good number of SRWs come through mid to late February.

I saw that, but based on the way I read the comments, they will still have substantial (just not excessive) inventory on the lots. The GM CEO said he sees "ideal" dealership inventory levels ranging from 30 to 60 days’ supply depending on make and model. Source: https://www.wardsauto.com/dealers/exec-says-gm-won-t-return-high-inventory-days

I agree there will likely be more custom ordering going forward, but there's still a large segment of consumers that want/need to drive their trade-in to the dealer, get the deal done, and drive out with a new vehicle. For the dealers, there's probably a balance somewhere that allows them to reduce carrying costs for large inventories but also be able to take advantage of the higher margins they can make with impulse or time constrained buyers.

I can see a world where if you don't want the model with the highest sales and the most common packages, you'll probably have to custom order.

Your last sentence has always been true, at least for the last 45 years that I know of since I bought my first car.

Soon enough, all makers will go to a subscription model for the tech stuff. They'll hook you on a trial, then it will be pay as you go. Tesla forged the path and others are already following.

Not to correct, but it's actually 942... 941 was a Laramie, but frustrating nonethless.
the lines move when new orders are placed. I know a September order that was just added to the list within the last hour that would of bumped everyone one spot, so your number changes

Redacted that one, didn't think about that/notice the September addition. Good catch so thanks for the heads up!
