Team USA Takes The Win, In Michigan...

A couple of weekends ago, the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, took place at the historic RedBud MX track in Buchanan, Michigan (near the Indiana border). The event is traditionally the biggest worldwide Motocross event of the season and was only the fifth time in its 75-year history to take place in the United States. There were 34 teams representing 34 different countries, with each team composed of the three best riders from MXGP, MX2, and Open series, selected from each National Motocross Organization.

Ram Trucks, was also a partner of the event and had four different trucks on display: (2) Ram 1500 Rebels, Ram 1500 Limited, and the mighty Ram 2500 Power Wagon. There, the spectator crowd of over 80,000 were able to see the trucks on display throughout the weekend.

Ram has been a supporter of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, and it’s champion Tom Vialle, who recently won the MX2 World Championship.

But with the event taking place in Ram’s backyard of Michigan, the Ram brand was there to support Team USA. As one of the overall favorites at the event, the team made up of riders Eli Tomac, Justin Cooper, and Chase Sexton placed ahead of the French and Australian teams, winning the title for the first time since 2011.

It was the 33rd time that Team USA made the podium and its 23rd victory in 39 attempts, making the team the most successful in the history of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations. The three podium teams were driven from the podium to the Media Center in the back of the Ram vehicles, where journalists from around the globe followed.

Furthermore, on the Friday of the event, the traditional MX of Nation Teams Parade was held where the trucks also participated and broadcasted LIVE on various social media accounts (which you can watch above). The trucks were not only on display trackside but were used for some GoPro recordings as well.

“These have been three unforgettable and exciting days on and off the tracks, I was really impressed by the amazing number of fans and media coming from each part of the world, I’m actually proud Ram could be an active player in this incredible event” stated Domenico Gostoli, Head of RAM & Dodge Brands Enlarged Europe. “This victory of the “stars and stripes” has highlighted American excellence and the values of power and agility which our customers share with the fans of one of the most challenging motorsports”.
