Yes, it is. But it's interesting to see what is important to different owners. All personal choice.

Same with us.I went with a Tradesman for one big reason, sounds dumb, but a rubber floor instead of carpet. Nothing worse to me than dragging my muddy camping boots in and out of the truck and then fight like hell to get it out of the carpet when I get home.
For a while, I was set on a 3500 SRW, and had the same quandary. But for my hauling needs, the SO is more than adequate. So the decreased fuel mileage was just not worth it to me to go to the HO.The biggest thing I went back and fourth on with my order was HO vs SO Cummins. If I could have got the SO Cummins with the Aisin trans I would have! That one was ultimately decided on by estimated operating costs. I believe the Cummins Aisin combo is the stoutest drive train in the HD market today.
Got my 75th PW for 65K.The Big Horn was the best value, I think.
- Money, did not want to spend more than $65kish
- Do not care for leather, actually prefer cloth seats
- Wanted air suspension
- Wanted 18vs 20inch wheels.
- Bucket seats was a want
- Level 2, liked advanced gauges and dual zone AC better
- Painted bumpers, sport package since I am in my 40s. I feel the chrome bumpers and door step combo look like a grandfathers truck. hahahah
