What did you do TO your RAM today?

Thank you! Maybe ill save those mods for a later date when its sunny and I have a little more time. I didnt realize how many fasteners were involved! At least now I know what I would be getting myself into.

Download and save these instructions for when you decide to tackle it. Some of those fasteners are difficult to locate

When you get it apart you’re basically looking at a radiator core support and the engine. I had to partially disassemble my AEV bumper to get the grille and trims off

THANK YOU!!! This is awesome!!

Got the Titan 50 gallon installed today. Wasn't fun at all. Also got the calibration done. Not sure why Ram wouldn't offer the 50 gallon from the factory

Hell yeah. I need this in my life. What made you pick the Titan over the S&B?

Added the AEV 7000 series lights on the winch bar, and the CJC Off-road fog light kit with Baja Designs squadrons. Those 7000 lights are crazy bright.
How do you like the 7k lights? It looks like they have a more blue hue than some of the other white lights I've seen. Any overall impressions? I'm looking at adding some lights here shortly and they are on the list.

I haven’t had a chance to really drive with them yet, but a couple of quick first impressions from going around the neighborhood last night:
-they throw a LOT of light in a pattern that’s largely forward projecting but still provides a wide enough beam that i won’t be getting any other lights up front. It’s a great pattern for my liking. I can’t imagine having the 4-light kit they also sell, that would almost be overly redundant.
-the color temp is 5700K, almost identical to the color temp of the headlights (6000K). I like that the color is similar to oem headlight specs.
-the overall mounting system is incredibly stout. This isn’t surprising given AEV likes to make things beefy.
-i like the grilles - they should provide at least some protection against rocks or other random stuff kicked up on trails.
-given all of the above, and the cost for the kit, I’m very happy. Plus, it keeps the AEV theme consistent on the truck.

Thanks for the info. Hope to see a build thread on your truck.

How’s the light cutoff at the top? Can you run them with oncoming traffic if properly aimed?

Those things are almost 10,000 lumens... unless you aim it straight to the ground perpendicularly it will blind everyone coming from the opposite.
Nice to see that some people have some sense! The amount of people I see running lightbars, or even lights such as the BD Squadrons around town drive me nuts. I have the Squadron Sports on my 4Runner, in the fog pockets, and there is 100% no way I could comfortably run them on the roads. Even aimed down, they still scatter enough light to light up highway signs. They are heinously bright. Fantastic off road though!

A guy on one of the PW FB pages I am on rides around with 2 sets of them on his truck, all the time. And absolutely loves to fight with people on Facebook when they mention how big of an ass he is for it.

See diablo82's response below, this is completely accurate. They're a circular lens with wide distribution, I wouldn't turn these on anywhere near other drivers.

Yep. Crazy bright.

My buddy has a S&B installed and it lasted about a month before the tank expanded and crack, S&B customer was great, overnighted him a new tank to a shop and installed for free. They told him its a known issue. Also the clearance under the truck made me nervous, it a super tight fitment with the S&B. The Titian was a bit more room to work with.

Thanks, this is great info

Well, shows I’m a noob at aux lighting, good info.

Actually, you asked a great question. #1 it shows you don't want to blind oncoming drivers. A pet peeve of mine. #2 A cutoff designed into the lens can make all the difference even with extremely bright lights. Most of the aux off road lights do not have the cutoff. Many of the aux driving lights do.
