Studded winter tires

Ya but it will be too cold to hold a knife to skin anything.
We only gut em in the bush then hang at home to skin in the garage lol, do you have any of the chronic wasting disease at your end of berta? I has not made it out here to northern onterrible yet

I don't really need a dedicated winter tire, but I do have dedicated hunting tires. I kept the OEM 18's off my '18 and run Cooper ST MAXX in the stock 275/70R18 size, and had them studded. I don't want a 20" wheel for most winter driving, but do like the 20's for loaded summer driving.

I've only got a few thousand miles on them, and no real nasty winter conditions but they did awesome elk hunting where I even had them chained up for heavyish towing up snow covered USFS roads with 6-8% grades.

I'm excited to see how they do the rest of this winter.

What’s the biggest studded tire you guys have been able to find? I live in the interior in BC and decided I want studded for the FSR’s and for going over Rogers Pass.

I’m guessing 37’s are out and next biggest I can find is the Duratrac or Cooper ST Maxx in a 35”

Duratracs. Or you can always buy the kit and drill/stud any tire

This is what I put on

The General AT/X is an excellent tire that can be studded
I didn't realize these can be studded. I'm currently running the Falken AT3Ws and really enjoy their winter performance on road in new england, but I've always wanted a good studded winter option. I will probably give the ATX a shot as a semi-dedicated winter setup when these wear out. Thanks for the heads up!

With studded tires I would definitely buy a 2nd set of wheels dedicated for these tires.
These wheels would be 18inch and I bet there are good winter tires for that size.
