gas, I somehow and to this day don't know how killed the battery a couple years ago. After jumping I found several things inop till I'd driven awhile. Hence my question.Gas or diesel?
Diesel has 2 and you can swap one at a time if you're careful AF, though the IBS might get mad and take longer to settle.
Worst case, loss of power can cause apps a while to return to function on the radio.
One battery, gasser. Still apply?Disconnect the negative cables on both batteries, driver side first, then passenger side. Wait 30-40 minutes. Then disconnect both positive cables. This allows systems to go into power-out/reset mode and the batteries can be changed out without issues.
Others will say "I didn't do that and I had no issues," and that's probably so. But it's currently the recommended way to proceed in order to decrease the chances of having problems.
