Hello all,
This modern 2022 Ram 3500 has so many electronics compared to my 1997 2500 I'm wondering if I need to do anything to keep power to systems when changing the battery.
gas, I somehow and to this day don't know how killed the battery a couple years ago. After jumping I found several things inop till I'd driven awhile. Hence my question.
Sometimes it’s almost better to let the truck sit disconnected for a bit(30 mins or so) than to try to hurry and get a new battery back in and connected. It can be nerve racking with all the electronics our vehicles have these days.
I replaced my battery last year and didn't do anything different than if I were replacing one in older cars with zero electronics. No problem at all with anything; presets, etc.
The only difference is removing the block of connectors attached to the +post, but that's not difficult to do at all.
I assume the 3500 is same as the 2500 as far as battery removal.
