I would also recommend the Gen Y Goosepuck offset ball for those with the short HD bed. The Gen 2 has the integrated safety chain loops. Glad I had the extra clearance backing the trailer in yesterday. It’s a great design, low profile and easy to install and remove

I have a 3500 Dually long bed, so regular ball will be fine. Can I purchase it from Gen Y, or do I need to go somewhere else for it? Do they also provide /sell the safety chains? thanks

You can purchase direct from Gen Y, that’s what I did for shipping to Canada. But E Trailer has them as well as a good option for US delivery (free shipping I think). Gen Y does sell safety chains, I bought them with along everything else. Make sure you get the latest version with the snaplatch setup. I believe Gen Y said that everything after 2023 was the newest version but there might be older stock still at some retailers
