I wonder if anyone can help me get my code for my 2022 ram 2500 for the security gateway. My dealer wants to charge me 40 bucks to give it.
If I want to use alpha obd on my 22 I have to take apart the cluster to install the bypass harness. I understand there’s a code that dealers should give out to owners if requested. Am I wrong/does this code not work to access it with Alphaobd? What "code?"
The only PIN needed for anything is a 5 digit PIN used to program Key FOBs with JScan, and JScan pulls the PIN.
Nope 2019-2024 is the same all the way. No need to remove the cluster just plug into the can bus. Youtube videos are not always rightYou are correct right up until the 2022 model year HDs. I followed an in depth video of someone plugging into a connector behind the headlight switch. Mine did not have that. I had to get a cable that has two connectors on a pigtail to OBD.
Now this would be pretty embarrassing if I’ve been wrong this whole time but I remember trying everything and ending up buying the pigtail and taking out the cluster.
I believe you can move the wiring enough to have the plug able to be accessed under the dash so if you already have that bypass you can just move the wiringPerhaps my research wasn’t extensive enough. I’ll see if I can find some more information. Would very much like to never take my cluster apart again. Like when they reflash everything at the dealer every time there’s a recall.

Is my harness different than the one you posted? I don’t see the two pigtails going in

There are 2 security gateway cables plugged in behind the speedometer. unplug them and i hope you have small hands and plug them into your red cable. then hook up your programmer and your good to go.If I want to use alpha obd on my 22 I have to take apart the cluster to install the bypass harness. Dont do this use the canbus cable setupThere are 2 security gateway cables plugged in behind the speedometer. unplug them and i hope you have small hands and plug them into your red cable. then hook up your programmer and your good to go.
I don’t know what ports to use and i already have this cable. Plus to make any changes it only takes me 20 minutes.Dont do this use the canbus cable setup
I think it was. Look at the bottom of the canbus terminal. One has a white base and one has a black base. On mine the white based one is closest to the firewall and the other one has the black base. The pink and green wires go to the white one and the blue and yellow goes in the one closest to the dash.Am jumping in on this as I have a Autel KM100 key programmer abd just received the KAODtech Security bypass cable
I think I had my cable back word which is why it may not have worked not that I am seeing this thread.
I had the Black connector in the closest can bus and then white in the one closest to the firewall
Seeing the pictures of the yellow and blue wired (white connector) closest to me I am wondering if that was my issue on why I couldnt get it to connect
I have my phone on the charger at the moment so once it is charged enough for me to post a picture I will
