Halogen to OEM LED swap

Oh yeah ignore the dent on the front bumper... new one sitting in the garage.

Send Jeremy an email. Not in mass production yet. He’s sold a few sets based on requests. He sells OEM lights and the harnesses. What I mean by “lights” is the entire headlight housing. He sells the housings from Mopar and the harnesses which he makes in house.
I have a 2020 Ram 2500 Bighorn, I have stock halogen lights, just bought 20 Laramie lights. Is the harness available or what are my options?

Great thread. I'm new here and I just took delivery of a '21 3500 big Horn Dually that is equipped with Halogens. I'll hopefully get this upgrade done in a few months.

I did not need any harness. I used AlfaODB to configure the truck for the reflector LEDs found on the Laramie. I have a 2021 3500 DRW Bighorn.

Hi all! I just bought a 2021 2500 Night Edition Bighorn with the horrible halogen headlights and fog lights. I’ve read the thread a few times and I didn’t see the part numbers for the left and right night edition projectors, if they even exist. I went to BAM Wholesale and there are a lot of different part numbers, but no description of what style they are. Does anybody happen to know the part numbers? Jimmy07, you mentioned needing new connectors and adding wires to the BCM, would you be able to describe whats needed? Thanks to all in advance.

If you want the LED reflector version that are essentially plug and play they are 68360178ac and 68360179ac. The LED projectors require some wiring.

On a side note I just did this mod to my Dad's 2019 2500 and after making the changes to the BCM, the low beam on the leds stayed on all the time. Finally figured out that in his halogen lights the low beam was set as a DRL and had to be disabled.

Just as a note for researchers purposes, those P/Ns are for "signature" standard, non-adaptive, LED Night Edition (black) headlights.

Thanks for the part numbers, I’m assuming these will work with my 2020 4500 tradesman? In my research not everything references 4500/5500’s.

Thanks for the numbers, although I am looking for the projectors night edition. Retro shop has them and a harness, but that is more expensive than finding the part number, figuring out what wires to run and using alpha. I may just go with retro shop solution or the morimotos. Either way I would have to run a harness. Thanks again.

Some folks have been able to get the black bezelled oem halogens on rock auto, they may have the leds too.

Projector headlamps with black bezels:
Left- 68360183AB
Right- 68360182AB
If you use AlfaOBD, I can build the harness for you that will make them function 100% factory, including the adaptive feature.

Thanks Jimmy07, that would be awesome. I have plans to add a lot of the OEM options, do you mind if I PM you to get your input?

I am about to make the change but lets say I mess up my truck changing the settings in AlfaOBD (first time using it) am I able to easy just restore the original settings?

I bought my oem LED lights off ebay, passenger side for $210 & drivers side for $330, bought the harness from Retrofit for $250. It was a plug & play setup for $790. They work great, no codes, and all functions work 100%. Have had them in for 5 months, zero issues. Easiest and cheapest way, in my opinion.

You need to follow the directions to read system ID and Upload fault and status logs to google drive (android). That captures the current settings. You can't "restore" or flash data, but you could change a setting back. the windows version keep logs in the product directory you should be able to copy.

DO NOT mess with the speed limiter settings. Don't know how he did it, but an owner on another forum managed to get his set to 0 and had to replace the ECM. Stick to BCM changes only and avoid platform settings or those that haven't been used by others.
