I was using a Redtiger F7N that I had positioned just to the right of the sensor cover. It was out of my view when driving, and did a pretty decent job. Video was pretty clear. Here's a sample video.
I wanted a cleaner look, and have another driver in the family, so the Redtiger will go to my youngest shortly. I bought and installed a FitcamX a couple of weeks back. And since my drive to work has no shortage of idiots, here's a video from a couple days ago from the FitcamX.
The Redtiger may have a slightly wider field of view, but really not a ton of difference. Rear cameras appear to be virtually identical, but they are a bit different. Connectors are different and wiring is a little thicker. The Redtiger app did allow functionality to invert the rear camera which made routing a little easier. I didn't find that functionality on the FitcamX. Not a big deal, but just meant that I couldn't use the Redtiger mount as it was facing the other direction.
Since the video was taken, I did add the polarizing filter to the FitcamX. Looks to cut down the glare pretty well. I contacted FitcamX to confirm I had the right part number and they responded quickly.
Overall, both are good options. FitcamX is definitely cleaner, but the Redtiger can be tucked up out of the way, so not bad either. Wiring for the front camera is definitely much easier with the FitcamX as long as you have power to the mirror.
