Aux Switches

Yeah, but he's saying his ISN'T on the switch, like most power wagons... Mine is definitely in that switch stack
Electronically shifted transfer case PWs have the button on the center stack switches (pic 1), manual transfer case PWs have it on the shifter (pic 2).

Posted on another related thread as well: For anyone interested, I ordered the gray plugs that go on the side of the AUX PDC with the associated terminals for them but decided to go a different direction with my available AUX pigtails. Once they arrive, I will send them to whoever can use them if they cover the cost of shipping them out.

I reached out to another well known member today about which platform was best suited for the AlfaOBD because I am a MAC exclusive household and the only windows option I had is too old to carry the program. It was suggested that Jscan is available for IOS users but I rarely see any mention at all of it in all the threads I've read and I couldn't find much on it when searching the forums for it.

Has anyone here used it for activation of the AUX Switches?

Does anyone have enough experience with it to strongly recomend against it?

I'm not planning to go balls to the wall with changes to my truck. Just getting these aux switches up and running and maybe a few convenience changes on the 22 2500 diesel Laramie

Im a Mac user as well. I’ve been able to get AlfaOBD working using wine, or if you’re not up for that level of tech pain, installing Windows in a second partition on my Macs using Bootcamp.

I actually did look into using windows on my MacBook via Bootcamp or Parallel. What does that plan look like in terms of ease of installation and price considering I'd have to pay for windows OS and a Bluetooth OBD reader that is compatible with IOS since the OBDLink LX is not? I clicked around a little bit doing some preliminary research and it seems like it might be easier and maybe more cost effective to just to pick up an entry level Android tablet for dedicated use with alfaOBD. I honestly can't think of any program for windows that I'd use over the IOS programs that I already have other than the AlfaOBD. I also saw that Jscan requires a license purchase for each Vin# to make changes but still wanted to consider it if users had good experiences with it.

You don't need a reader that is compatible with iOS, since you'd be using Windows. You don't even have to pay for Windows, you can download and use Windows 10 or 11 for free, there's just some features that aren't available, none of which you need for AlfaOBD.

That's good information! I did not realize that because it was Windows, a different reader wouldn't be needed. I just assumed since it was on an apple device it would be apple... makes perfect sense now because it's not using apple's OS.

Thanks for clearing that up!

I tried the OEM switch route on my ‘24 PW, not possible, yet. When Stellantis moved away from the manual PW transfer case & made it electronic to match the rest of their lineup (except Tradesmen) , they moved the HDC button from the rotary transmission control panel to the spare piano switch to make room for the new 2WD, 4Hi, 4L buttons . MOPAR doesn’t make an aux switch panel with active Tow/Haul, HDC, Traction, Front Park, Rear Park top row buttons. Why? Because the aux switches & PDC are not a PW compatible configuration. Save the headache & get a Garmin Power Switch. It’s Bluetooth, so no wires through the firewall, runs on Apply Car Play so you can display your switches on your Uconnect display. Its slick. Also , you can manually activate the switches individually from the Garmin unit wherever it’s installed—handy during installation & testing aux components.

Ordered up my Aux switches tonight (2/27) from a dealer in Florida. Hopefully there is no problem getting them. @Florotory I saw you made a post about DIY wiring for getting everything wired up. Has anything changed since then to make it better? Do you know if anyone makes a ready to go harness yet? I have a 22 2500 with the Deisel so I already have the PDC under the hood. I'm guessing I'll just need a bunch of Relays and Fuses outside of the actual wires and connectors? I was planning to take a look at what Is actually inside the PDC this weekend and get everything that I need so the truck won't be out of commission for too long once I start the conversion.

2/28 update: got an email form the dealer, "Sorry, but we have had to cancel your order because the part is on national backorder with no ETA. You are welcome to email back later to check availability".

Anyone have any leads on somewhere that might have one in stock? This is the second one I ordered in a week that was canceled. Tow/ Exhaust Brake/ Fr&Rr Park sensors 2500 Laramie 6.7 Diesel. @Brutal_HO @jsalbre ?

Did you ever find your specific switch panel? I finally found one for mine. Now just need information before I attempt the install of my PDC. Try this place. Ths place, it's where I found mine.

I actually did find one on eBay. After I ordered and paid for it, I was super worried about whether or not it would actually show up because the were some feedbacks that said theirs never did (i got excited that I even found one and didn't check the feedback first). It did show up super late be seems like its the right one and it's new. Just trying to find the time to tear my truck apart.

This the correct one ? If so I shoulda just wired into there and then to the Aux PDC instead of bypassing it. But oh well I’ve already got all the harnesses made. Just waiting on the switch bank

Working on my wiring this weekend. did you determine whether or not this is the XY125 plug?

So I got my aux switches and PDC installed. Unfortunately with a PW I have NONE of the extra wiring, which means I have to create my own switched on IGN feed to relay my CV and future equipment. I know there are people on here who have added to either PDC and I need to know what terminals I need to do this.. obviously for the relays in the PDC as well as what is used for the jCase fuses. I'm planning on using an add a circuit on top of one of the 12v acc outlet circuits in the main PDC to feed the relay switching in the aux PDC.

Installing the PDC and switches in a 24 Laramie and ran into a few issues. Went to connect the wires into the plug behind the aux switch panel and my plug already has the wires installed. Where do they go? I am assuming they dead end somewhere since I don't have the option on the truck. Also, does anyone know if the switch panel is different on '24?? It looks the same, but the connector is in a different position, although the plug still fits. Also---how the hell do you get the aux switch panel out of the center stack?? I took out the 4 allen screws and it got loose, but that's it.

There is little tabs on the switch panel that you have to pop up to release the switch panel after you remove the screws

I guess I have to take it apart again and stare at it some more........need to get the wiring and if there is a 2024 specific switch panel....
