ARB Air Compressor

Any of you guys with the ARB and the Switch Pros use the Switch Pros quick connect harness for the ARB? I've got one coming with all of my SDHQ stuff and was wondering how it fit into to everything. I also plan to pair down the ARB wire harness as I don't need the lockers either.
If you are running the twin compressor, you only need the purple wire from the three pin plug on the compressor side. Hook the purple wire to an output on the Switch-Pros. Power and ground direct wire to the battery.

I'm not using Switch pros harness but I do have my ARB wired differently.

I got rid of all the ARB wiring since I only use it for airing up.
* ARB goes directly to the battery for power with an inline fuse -- It requires a bit of power so my ARB and Fuseblock(s) are the only after-market that go directly to the battery.
* The pressure switch power comes from the switch box -- only 18-20 gauge wires +-

This ARB has been on 4 different trucks/jeeps, always under the hood and spends all winter in the sub-freezing, salt roads and in the summer is used almost every second weekend. It is currently on my Jeep but moving to my Power Wagon and the Jeep is going to get a new unit.
 
As mentioned before, I'm installing my ARB Twin in the RSI SmartCap half bin in the bed of my truck. Is there any reason I could not run a single cable from the truck battery to the rear of the truck and then splice the two ARB fused positive wires into that single run to the battery? That long of a high amp run has me a little nervous, so I was thinking a relay close to the battery might make sense. Anyone know what type of relay I should look at getting?

Running a single lead out back to the compressor would be fine as long as the gauge is correct for the length and amperage running. Also if you plan on running any other accessories, take that into account as well. I would run a 100amp breaker at the battery and in the cap where you plan on attaching to the compressor. Make sure though both power cables out of the compressor stay fused separately.

Thanks for the info. What is the advantage of running a breaker at both ends?
 
Safety, don't risk burning down your rig down over less than $100 in good breakers.
I'm not worried about the cost (ive got 3 sittinghere on the work bench), just wondering what a breaker at the compressor end does. If that one trips, the wire will still be hot. With only one at the battery side, if it trips there is no power going to the long run to the rear of the truck. Am I missing something?

In my mind it helps narrow down where the problems are. If the first one pops you know its between there and the second one, if the second one pops you know its from there to the accessories you are running.
