Need help with TPMS...
Truck was set at 60/80 PSI front rear. As it was just me hauling my butt, I didn't need 80 PSI on the back so I lowered the pressure and as expected I've got the light and the screen below on each start up telling me to pump up the rear tires. Finally got tired of it and purchased Alfa. Went ahead and set the lower pressures and the procedure went smoothly, HOWEVER....
The light is still ON and I still get this screen in my face every time I start a truck, EXCEPT now it's telling me to inflate the rear tires to the LOWER pressure than the tires currently are!
I tried dropping the rear tires pressure to below the set value (I set 40/30 PSI front rear), waited for the sensors to recognize the new, lower pressure, then pumping the rears up to 35PSI, this didn't fix anything.
Tried disconnecting batteries for a few hours hoping it would erase the light / message, it didn't help.
Anyone knows what's going on or had anything similar happened to them? How to fix it?
I did save the BCM config file to G-Drive in case I need to revert to it (not sure how though).
Thinking about it now I should have pump up the rears making sure the light and tire pressure warnings were off, and then changing the threshold, but too late now change was already made.
I'm back to work for a few weeks and will have limited access to specialty tools, I've got the MX+ interface and Alfa (Android version) with me, also have an air compressor. Anything I could try to fix it?
