I use Doc’s Diesel filters with 55k trouble free miles on my Cummins. Air and fuel.
They don’t get the best reviews, the consensus is to run OEM.

I couldn’t get OEM and turned to Doc’s. I’ve not encountered any of the problems that others have. I buy other things, like windshield wipers, because the quality of the aftermarket is so sketchy at times. They don’t get the best reviews, the consensus is to run OEM.
Thanx for the help, sorry I am not in the US I am in Australia.FleetGuard doesn’t make a fuel filter that goes in the rear under the bed. Im using a Baldwin pf46152 for the rear and FG fs53000 in the front filter. The air filter is AF27684 and LF16035 for the oil filter.
Check out Geno’s Garage. They have genuine Mopar and FleetGuard products that are not knockoff Chinese clones. Great people and products.
After I replied I thought I remembered you were in Australia. Sorry for the confusion.Thanx for the help, sorry I am not in the US I am in Australia.
Yes I also dont know how to add my location to my profile……I did have a go but just could not figure it out
What? Does it throw a code or CEL ?The truck will tell you when it’s restricted, so no need for a filter minder (which is why they are not used anymore).
I’ve been doing once a year changes, even thou they are good for 2 years per the manual. (Or up to 30K miles).
I changed mine in September of 23. I live in a rural area but 99.5 % paved roads. Limited in town driving but horrendous amounts of pollen during the spring. Got a sand storm in New Mexico earlier this year but we sat it out. Probably still had a good bit of dust on the roads and in the air that wasn’t visible while driving. My last UOA showed acceptable levels of silicon in the oil.I have 16,300 miles on my 21 since September 21. I change air filter, oil, oil filter, fuel filters and cab filter every time and have done so 3 times now. First time was after 6,200 miles.
On all 3 air filter changes they were dirty but not terrible but that was with very little city driving and 80 percent towing on mostly highways.

I was really wondering about the change interval because of how picky these trucks are about the air filter. I guess if the truck starts regening more often, it probably wouldn’t hurt to change that first. Thanks for the info.I haven’t seen the message on a gen 4.5, but on the older 6.7’s the EVIC flashed a message saying to service the air filter or something along those lines.
Yearly check and replace if needed. On 3rd filter. Changed factory at 14k to Mopar 53034051AB then Fleetguard AF27684 at 25k. Haven't notice any differences in regen aside from shorter intervals overall.I was really wondering about the change interval because of how picky these trucks are about the air filter. Likely Spanish. My 12 says ‘’ service air filter’’ er somethin like that. I’m sure my 19 does also. But with Stellantis the message now a days might be in French or German perhaps.![]()
They do filter better with some restriction but with how picky they are about which filter to use, I was afraid it might start making the truck have issues without giving any indication of what was wrong. I might run mine until the next OCI and change it at that time.I’m only on my 2nd air filter and have 26k miles. Mostly paved roads. In theory dirtier they get, the better they filter.
Yea I’ve been running a “AA” for the last 14k, no issue. How they got the 19s right but not the 22+ is strange. Hopefully something is coming down the pike for you guys soon! They do filter better with some restriction but with how picky they are about which filter to use, I was afraid it might start making the truck have issues without giving any indication of what was wrong. Well, I made it through this mega-thread! I have 2022 2500 Big Horn used for my business. It constantly threw error codes with the factory air filter. The codes started at 2K miles. They changed the Mopar filter for another one at no cost. I put a WIX filter in it 5 months (and 7K miles) ago. It still kept putting up "frequent regen" codes. I brought it to the dealer mistakenly thinking it would be under warranty (bought the truck as a leftover in the summer of '23 and it only has 20K miles on it). According to the tech, I am "idling" too much causing soot buildup. My business often works in NYC and surrounding cities in NJ. As you can imagine, there is constant stop and go traffic. We never let the truck sit and idle at jobsites... hell, I have instructed my employees to not even use the remote start!
Dealer claims the recent issues were due to the WIX filter... even after I reminded them it happened with the first two Mopar filters. They charged me $500 to do a "soot cleaning." Am I an idiot (don't answer that!!) for thinking a $90K truck shouldn't need a soot cleaning at 20K miles? I have 2 Duramax trucks and this crap doesn't happen to them.
