I pulled a 26’ TT (30’ from hitch to bumper) from California Central Valley (near Stockton) to Sedona AZ. 4 days. Day 3 had huge headwind about 40 mph. Trailer dry weight is about 8k, with all of our stuff we’ll round to 9.5-10. I set cruise around 62 mph for a majority of trip. I averaged about 10.4 mpg EVIC(mine has been calculated to be with in .2 mpg)

What do y’all think with a 6.4L hemi?

That’s about what I see if I’m nice to it as well. MPGs drop fast once you get over 65 though.

I get between 7.5 to 8.5 mpg towing my 5v’r on the Hwy, it goes up a bit on all other roads. Usually running 72 on the Hwy unless traffic dictates otherwise.

Fully loaded I’m right around 10k.

I think you did outstanding. 10+ is GREAT mpg towing for any motor -- especially the gas option.

That said... 62!?!?!? Every 18 wheeler on the road was probably flipping you off the whole way lolol

I was being passed nearly ever big rig lol! Especially in Arizona, I was getting like 5-7 mpg trying to go 70-75 MPH. Screw it, I’m slowing down!

Too funny.... I often wonder what my mpg would be if I slowed it down to 65 mph or so. I average 70-75 when we travel so im in the 8 to mid 8's mpg. Oh well haha

I had a 2014 with the 6.4 and the old six speed. Pulling a toy hauler at 9500 lbs and going 63 mph I would average 6.5 to 8 mpg depending on the terrain. I would have been thrilled with 10 mpg.

The only time could get 10 mpg was if it was completely flat. I would see this traveling east out of Flagstaff for about a 100 miles.

One trip coming home heading west into Barstow, the head wind was so bad, my dash was consistently showing I was getting 2 to 3 mpg. The one and only time I had to pull over and transfer gas from the toy hauler to the truck.

I did a trip to Tenn from Fl two weeks ago. Towing 7500 pound RV. I averaged 9.3
mpg. Better than my 1500 did on the same trailer. Plus the larger tank gives me much better range.

Ok, that's what my new 23 has as well. I'm curious to see how it tows my camper.
For context, I have a 20x8.5’ enclosed 7’ interior height roughly 7500lb and I tow at ten over the limit same as I do unloaded. 75-80mph is really hell on mpg but I got places to be.
