I pulled fuse F71 (ANC/AMP) to see if it was blown. It wasn't, but I was very suprised how easy it was to pull out. I checked all fuses and I'd say over 90% of them were not pushed all the way in. I reinstalled the fuse and then started the truck up. The radio did a funky noise (I think ANC doing self test/recalibrating maybe?) and then settled in. Took for a 30 mile drive and I believe it may be fixed. Never heard the droning again at speed or at idle. Still going to climb under truck and check everything I can to see if anything is loose. Thanks for all the input. Hope I have no more troubles.
I have same issue. Pushed fuses in last weekend and seems to get a little better. Went to dealer and took a tech for a ride.
First thing he asked was is this your first 1 ton diesel 4x4? Yep.
He said it will quiet some more during break in and learning adjustments. He recommended wait till I have 1K miles on it if there are no mechanical or warning issues.
Then he said, search the manual for noise. I did, holy crap is there a lot of disclaimers in there about system noises.
So, it’s getting better by the day.
I’m coming from a BMW M550i so I think it is more me…
