2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

looks like I may be waiting until late July/early August for my truck to actually show up, it apparently still has not hit the assembly line based on my latest info. This relaxed attitude from the dealership and lack of anyone giving a **** is getting old. Projecting things out it looks like it will be between 27-29 weeks since ordering. @RamCares all I can say is WTF

I received a message from the dealer yesterday that the order bank opened for the 2022 trucks. he said this means that my order will for sure get pulled as a 2022. it's not cancelled yet but it's only a matter of time.

it seems 2022 potential sales take priority over 2021 sold vehicles. I dont understand that conversation, cancel the orders of people that are confirmed paying and start building trucks that we dont have any buyers yet.

I worked with Gary for all my financing/paperwork. He was my contact for getting my **** sent to the DMV as well.

My only complaint was that they gave me a 3 day travel permit, but took something like 7 business days to get the paperwork sent out. Then the tracking info they gave me didn't do anything for another 5 days, and oddly enough started moving the day I sent a follow up email about it on the day it was supposed to arrive, but I've got no way to tell if that was on them or on FedEx. Long story short, I picked up the truck on 5/18, and could finally register it the day after the paperwork arrived on 6/2. Thankfully we have two cars, and don't street park, as I wasn't super keen on having an unregistered vehicle out on public roads.

Again, I'm not sure how much of that I can really place on them - as I don't know anything about the paperwork side of this process. Just wish I was made privy of this whole thing ahead of time.

That said, what they did ship had everything the DMV here needed in it.
Yep, in similar boat. Finance guy said they have to wait 10 days before overnighting paperwork since their is some agreement with lenders (penfed in my case) that they have to wait in cash there's an issue with the check or a buyer backs out or something. On the front end with Phil, this was always a little vague. Confirmed with Ameila yesterday they will release paperwork to DMV next week. I'll be out of town a couple weeks so not really an issue with driving around, but guessed this part wouldn't be as seamless as possible - maybe it would have gone quicker if I financed through them but didn't want to use that option. Got the truck smogged and weighed, so will just register when I get back.

I financed with them and they waited 27 days to overnight the paperwork, and they left out the certificate of origin. Still don't have it. I've already refinanced with penfed for a much better rate. I don't have much use for Freddy at this point.

Am expecting my truck to be made ready any day now at Bud Clary, but hearing so many horror stories surrounding pickup/paperwork. Crossing my fingers that the price paid will be worth the potential troubles.

Glad to know it's part of a larger process, I suppose. I kind of assumed that to be the case, and I guess they can't really send out TTL checks hoping that everything goes through as expected. In this day and age, though, this could be something done damn near instantly one would think.

@acuracing I wouldn't be too worried. 99% of the people here had totally fine transactions. IMO, the only real recent hang up has been them getting the paperwork to your local DMV if you're out of state - which sounds like it'd be a similar process with any other out of state dealer as well.

I think you’ll be fine - and at the end of the day it was definitely worth the huge savings. I think they are scrambling a little bit to process the large number of trucks coming in - Philip definitely unleashed the Kraken! I wouldn’t go into it expecting a problem. As an example the service manager came in on his day off Memorial Day to TDI a delivery order for a factory order customer that randomly showed up.

I also think you’ll be fine. I’m local to Bud Clary but also ordered with Phillip. I had no issues with agreed price and agreed trade in value. I dealt with Riley as my salesman and had great service. Went in with my own financing that they said they couldn’t beat it. Only reason I had to talk to Freddy the sales manager was about AMP power step pricing that never got finalized while Phillip was still there. But even with that small item they worked it out.

I’m optimistic though I’d feel better if Phillip were still around. Just so anxious to take delivery and finally install all these parts that have been sitting in the garage.

What did you end up giving for the AMP steps if you don’t mind sharing.

Picked up my truck yesterday at dennis dillion in Caldwell ID. Absolutely would recommend them to anyone. Great customer service everything went smoothly from order to pickup. The new 8spd transmission is night and day better than the old 6spd. Only have one picture since I need to put 500 hundred miles on it before towing. The wife took it to Oregon today for the weekend.
Congrats, love the color! I looked at a mega cab in that color but the truck ended up too long

Pretty sure it was like $2136. That’s the price they got me as Phillip said he could have factory steps put on for the $995 they cost as an option. But obviously can’t add those after so last he told me was he’d make it right for the AMPs. So Freddy told me this is what they pay pretty much for the shop to do it. I looked when I was at the dealer and AMPs are $1700 before tax and anything by themselves. So to me it was worth it.

You can get them on Ebay, brand new, delivered for $1500. But you have to install them.
Have a set sitting in the garage waiting on my truck to arrive.
