2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

Finally. June 6th, Dream Truck D-Day is finally here. It arrived at Mark Dodge on Memorial Day. Aaron put out a bid of $600 for the nearly 1,000 mile transport to West Palm Beach. That bid was accepted within minutes and was supposed to transported the next day on June 1st. Unfortunately when Aaron showed up to work late that day the truck was still on the lot. The transporter for some unknown reason cancelled. Aaron re-posted the bid and the next driver said he needed $650, to which of course I agreed. Just called the driver a few minutes ago and he said he should be here by 5 p.m. Very satisfied with Mark Dodge and Aaron Ginsburgh. Total wait time from time of order to arrival at dealer was 10 weeks and 2 days. Aaron was spot on with that as well when he told me at time of order to expect a wait time of 10-13 weeks. Of course there were no FCA incentives at time of delivery, but I did manage to get an additional $1,000 Penfed rebate, and a $500 Tread Lightly discount. The whole process was very smooth with the exception of one minor hiccup. Unbeknownst to me Aaron locked in the 0%-36 month Chrysler Capital Financing at the time of order (which was great). However since I didn't submit my $1,000 Penfed coupon at time of order I couldn't get both. So I had to decide to either take the $1k Penfed or the 0%. Obviously if I had known I would have submitted the Penfed at time of order. No biggie. I ended up getting 1.74% 60 month from my credit union. MSRP is $72,455. I ended up paying $61,829 which includes the $219 dealer fee. Total discount of $10,626 (14,6% from MSRP). Very happy since there are hardly any discounts on the HD slim pickings on dealer lots. I got a great discount on a beautiful truck EXACTLY how I wanted it. Couldn't be happier.

Here's a pic Aaron sent me the day it arrived. Tomorrow I'm doing a detail and any paint correction if needed followed by Expel Ultimate paint protection film on the front bumper, grille surround, and rocker panels. Tuesday front windows tinted with Formula One Pinnacle 15%. Ordered Nitto Ridge Grapplers on Method 305 NV Bronze HD wheels from Discount Tire Direct and will slap them on as soon as they get here. Next month a JL Audio upgrade. :)

On Tuesday, Ram Chat said my truck was built but waiting for accessories to be installed and my build sheet popped up that day as well. Today, the window sticker is available! Does that mean the truck is done now and should be ready to ship?

It's done. Just gotta go to the body vendor to have bedliner, running boards, bed steps, decals, tonneau cover, etc., installed. Then it will be ready to ship. Won't be long now, you're almost there.

wow, even at $650 thats a great deal! I've been kicking around the idea of having the truck delivered to Gatlinburg, TN instead of picking it up at the dealer, as my wife and I plan to spend a few days there for a vacation on the way home.

Wow, our experiences were dramatically different. Sounds like you got the deposit back. How'd things pan out with the rebate and theft fee at this point?
Unresolved. Amelia appears to be avoiding me. I'm irritated as Phil applied these incentives on 5/17 which leads me to believe someone had to remove them.

The truck is awesome. $1,000 could buy new tires so I'm going to press the issue.

My 21 Longhorn 3500 was spot on except for the wheels. What I ordered and what she was delivered with were different. I chose the 20” polished wheels as seen and described on the website builder and on the window sticker. What I got was the 20” wheels with carbon insets. Very misleading. I think the 20” polished were available in the past but no longer. I ordered the truck on 1/29 and took delivery on 4/30. Overall, very pleased with the truck and OK with the wheels as I wasn’t getting any traction when I tried to sort the issue out with the RAM folks. View attachment 17373

Congratulations! I too was pleasantly surprised to see everything I'd ordered had been received. I kept expecting something to be missing.

They never did get info from indiana so they "estimated" licensing. Pretty sure $200 is way too low. Just a heads up, they only give you a 3 day temp permit. I got home with 1 hr left. I'm just gonna run the expired one until I get the plate paperwork.
Anybody that bought from Bud Clary have issues with out of state registration? I'm in Indiana but might apply to others. I'm a month out from pick up and they finally sent a packet of paperwork to my local BMV. BMV called me to say they didn't send the Certificate of Origin.

Bud Clary swears it was in there, and looking at another 2 weeks to get another original copy. I went down to the BMV and went through what they sent and the only "original" paperwork (not printed on copy paper) was the odometer statement and check for iN sales tax. Most of what they sent was blank WA forms with no info filled out.

I'm not sure whether to take out my frustrations on Bud Clary or the BMV. Is the odometer statement Ram's version of a certificate of origin, or MSO as Bud Clary calls it?

Sounds just like my experience with Mark Dodge, except my truck was on the lot, 50 days after I ordered, which I believe is a world record. Oh, and I only got 14.25% off msrp.

Not good. Who sent the packet, Gary? Have you called him?

I got a new shipping date on Friday from Ram Chat 6/4 - 6/17. I was like oh great here comes delay after delay. Then Saturday my sales guy called (on his day off) and said your truck is in and they will have it ready to pick up Monday. Headed that way later today to pick it up. Pictures to follow. 48 days for me. I'm pretty happy considering some of the stories I read.

I’m going through the same thing as you, Amelia seems to be avoiding me too. I have asked about my $3500 incentive being confirmed multiple times and she said she doesn’t think Philip filed it correctly or put it in and there’s basically nothing they can do… Philip sent me a shot of his computer screen on 4/19 with my incentive in the computer and now it’s just gone? Seems weird to me, and if something got screwed up on it they should be responsible to fix it as I was told by the dealer that I would be getting $3500 off. I’m not too happy with this dealership now that Philip isn’t there

Vanessa? One of the office staff who handles the paperwork. She was less than helpful. Freddy is my new sales contact.

I dont think i met Vanessa. I was working with Reilly, Amelia, and Gary in finance. Gary is going to be sending my paperwork to DMV. Everything i read seems to indicate Freddy is helpful. Hopefully he takes care of you, and Gary me.

I worked with Gary for all my financing/paperwork. He was my contact for getting my **** sent to the DMV as well.

My only complaint was that they gave me a 3 day travel permit, but took something like 7 business days to get the paperwork sent out. Then the tracking info they gave me didn't do anything for another 5 days, and oddly enough started moving the day I sent a follow up email about it on the day it was supposed to arrive, but I've got no way to tell if that was on them or on FedEx. Long story short, I picked up the truck on 5/18, and could finally register it the day after the paperwork arrived on 6/2. Thankfully we have two cars, and don't street park, as I wasn't super keen on having an unregistered vehicle out on public roads.

Again, I'm not sure how much of that I can really place on them - as I don't know anything about the paperwork side of this process. Just wish I was made privy of this whole thing ahead of time.

That said, what they did ship had everything the DMV here needed in it.

Quick Update on my build, which should give some hope to fellow "under the wire" 2021 stragglers ;)

5/3 Ordered
5/14 D1 & VIN
6/1 Build Sheet (alerted via CryptoStickers)
6/1 Window Sticker (alerted via CryptoStickers a few hours later)

Hoping to check in with Bud Clary tomorrow (with Phillip Olson's delegate) for shipping confirmation, but I'm also taking ownership of the Grand Design 395MS 5th wheel that necessitated this tow pig, so it's a full day. All in all, this build is beating my expectations so far, but I know better than to have high hopes for the rail shipment portion.

Best of luck to the remaining stragglers out there!! Seems like Stellantis has lit a fire under the hard-working Saltillo lads and lasses, which is great to see.

Rail's moving smoothly again after that closure a week back or so.

6/2 Left Saltillo
6/6 In Transit - Oklahoma (en route to Bud Clary in WA)

Never hurts to check your build sheets for any surprises -- I think I may have got a freebie out of Stellantis. I couldn't bring myself to pony up the extra $800 for a full set of Alcoa-style aluminum rims (just the standard set of 4 that comes with the Laramie). However, my build sheet conspicuously calls out "All Aluminum Wheels". Fingers crossed :D

Gary could be the finance guy I worked with. He had me sign extra copies of forms "in case they messed it up." Didn't instill much confidence in their process.

Had the same tracking delay. Started hounding them after 3 weeks of no paperwork and Freddy sent tracking info. Was another week before FedEx received the package. I'm still driving on the 3 day permit that expired 5/10. I quickly put an IAFF union sticker over it... hopefully buys me some leniency.

I would have liked it if Ram upgraded me to a MegaCab.

Seriously... I'm going to miss my 2020 2500 Mega dearly... room for the dog, wife, and 3 kids like nothing else and the ride was the perfect balance of firm and smooth. I even looked into a shop that will mount a Mega on a 4500, but you'd need deeeeep pockets to make that pencil out
