I live in MT. You can't get there from here without a few passes along the way... Mostly, not quite as gnarly as CO but the truck works... I love driving through flat states...but living in SW MT.
We got a Rockwood withOUT a dinette but has the kitchen bar type set up. We love it. I spend my mornings in there. Ours is flat but I can reach the coffee maker have plugs, out of the way, can look out the door and see the dogs, turn the TV a bit and see it... So glad we didn't get a dinette...
And some of them were and still are Marines... AND, I will never own a direct impingement weapon. Nope, all garand, all the time for long guns. "NEVER" let me down. I got STUCK with one of the first POS's in the early 1970's and hate them with a passion... 248 rifle range M14, barely marksman...
"frontal mass of the camper and speed" are the main things I noticed. My last TT was a 29 foot Aspen Trail with a standard suspension. It was around 7K loaded 900 lbs tongue weight. I got the same mpg's with it as the new trailer a 30 foot Rockwood ultra lite I have noticed this year. I did put...
I put BFG KO2's on mine at 18K replacing the "transforces" that rode like round rocks and were already losing tread. The KO2's were the new ones with the 50K warranties verses the older no warranty ones I've previously had. The new ones do dramatically better at maintaining tread vs the first...
OK you got me on speed. I tend to between 70 and 75 and that extra mph does make a big difference. When I got my new TT, I did get 9+ mpg driving 65 on my 500 mile trip home from the purchase point. It makes a big difference. And I've got the weight on you...
Flatlander I'll bet... Try 7 to 8 mpg up here in MT. Oh and 8K lbs 1175 tongue weight. Does your trailer even weigh that much? I am being serious here. You could literally get a Ram 1500 with the six banger Pentastar if you wanted to and get even better gas mileage I'll bet. But I get it.
I...
Beretta 84FS since 1993. Never once failed to fire... Not once. My gun is not poop. Yes, it's a 380, but fits perfectly in my hand and why I got it. And I can shoot the eyes out of a snake at 25 yards with it. I love making cands dance. My gun is NOT poop.
Yep on the radio. I prefer the 8.4, AND Uconnect 4 vs 5. 5 is a PITA imho. I prefer the 7.0 tft (driver screen, mph etc.) but you can get to everything that has with a few more clicks. Bighorn's are your best bang for the buck though...
I love Granite Crystal. When new or washed, the most beautiful color there is. Thirty minutes after washing? Not so much... My wife's Cherokee killer used deal and my 23 30% off daily driver Gladiator tell that tale. I also like Billet Silver and my 2500 is that. Now that one looks good dirty or...
LImit your idling is really the only preventative that could have an impact. The low pressure at idling apparently is the main culprit per most feedback.
BUT, it is much less of an issue on the 6.4's vs the 5.7 and isn't that big a problem on the 6.4 I hear and generally speaking. Break it in...
Every so often I check out what's out there in the 2500's. My dealer (Lithia) got a new sales manager about a year ago and went from completely uncompetitive to very competitive in the NW.
So, I checked them out and he had a Tradesman PW that is surprisingly nice for 60K down from a 67K MSRP...
Three years three onths now and it is mostly our tow beast, appliance or big item to transfer station, light off roading/Nat forest roads. We have 26,K on it with about 60% towing. I tried it as a daily driver for its first year and ended up with a Jeep Gladiator. That's for the true off...
