I recently debadged the tailgate - well, accidentally.

So, while backing out of my garage I was rushed and got distracted. Put the truck in reverse too soon after the garage door started up. The handle on the very bottom of the garage door hit the top of the tailgate, both needing repair. The garage door was much less than the truck!

When I went to pick up the truck at the body shop I've used for years (long back story), they had not put on the black "Laramie" and "4 x 4" emblems on the tailgate. Decided to leave them off, as the shop owner, foreman and I all agreed it looked better without them. They will be available for sale - have to get to posting that.

So, I can honestly say that I "accidentally" de-badged the tailgate!

I used to get the front windshield done but my night vision ain't what it used to be so now all I get is sides and rear.
Totally understand they make a totally clear version that just does the heat and glare stuff. I was thinking about doing that as I only got 60 so hardly noticeable. Might be an option for ya the clear if you just wanted the benefits.

I got the clear for the first time on my windshield. Can't tell it's there except for where the installer made a scratch in it. Doesn't bother me enough to have it re done but is way less hot after ALL windows done. Seemed an improvement over my 2016 with just the front two windows.

I installed the Thuren front sway bar. They now come with the bling aluminum links. Very noticeable difference for the better. Still have the feel of a 2500 suspension but it's like the sharpness of it was knocked off. I still need to mess with tire pressure but not gotten AlfaOBD to communicate right through the bypass cable to change thresholds. Even before the sway bar change the 2022 is a far better riding truck than the 2016 was. Very pleased with this new combo.

Installed Baja designs squadron sport combo lights on the bumper. Long story short I ended up with two pair of SAE lights and sent these back to be swapped to Sports.

SAE fog lights in bumper pockets, recently upgraded to Gen2, sports installed under the hoop.

Looks great! How long was the turnaround for the SAE upgrade? I just sent mine out this morning

Installed my new arrival Frontrunner 10.6gal tank. Then, set sail for my first overlanding trip with the family. For those in California/Nevada, we hit Donner Pass up to 89 and then 12 miles along unkempt fire roads to White Rock Lake. Definitely on the higher end of intermediate and, I'll admit, a bit sketchy for my first trip. But luckily I brought the chainsaw and took the time to check angles/mud-depth, prior to pushing limits. Still can't get over how amazing these machines can be when you need a versatile HD.

Im out of Sacramento, always looking to introduce folks to local trails. With fair warning that paint is a consumable:)

It ain’t going to look nice forever, at some it needs to start getting used.

Maybe I’ll try to get a Nor Cal group together for a trail day.

Ugh!!! Sorry to hear buddy. Have a double....No rocks

Thanks man! Body shop was kind enough to let me use their tools to get it out and even had the O’Reily’s deliver a new starter while I worked on getting the bad one out! About an hour and 20 mins from start to finish!

The starter location on the 6.4 is about as easy as a small block Chevy!

Broke down and tried to buff out some of the swirl marks from the drive through car wash.

It needs some professional help. But for now, it'll work.
