I drove an 04 for 9 years. I miss how easy it was to tear into any part of that interior.

You’re not wrong. Just comes at the cost of below average materials for the 02 anyway. The dash on the 2002 is shot lol.

Got a deal on this Thule Outland 6.2ft Awning. $600 (cdn) cash. Guy with a raptor bought it only to post it with my local off road shop a month later after selling his truck. Would have cost me over $1k if bought new without shipping. Will fit perfectly on the Yakima rack.

Trying to decide which side of the bed it will go on. Which will largely depend on which side the RoofNest Condor XL will fold onto opposite side. I’m leaning on the awning opening on driver side. Awesome dark grey aluminum case and easy 1 person setup make it a no brainer when I can re-sell any day for a couple hundred less.

I worked on some corrosion prevention... I think I got more on the truck than me. Maybe.

I've used Fluid Film for years now on my 3rd Gen but have seen great reviews on Surface Shield. I sprayed this everywhere I could get it and I'm going to follow up with fluid film inside the frame and body panel cavities.

Have a question, I just travel from AZ to Oklahoma, 16hrs, 1060 miles. I was averaging 17mpg before I hit 40mph crosswinds. I went to multiple truck stops looking for DEF, they only had the big nozzles, what does everyone use when they come across that? I ended up buy a box of DEF. Truck looks good on the ranch. Also the truck did better on fuel at 85mph then 75mph

Looking at going up to that size on my dually as well. Did it change the speedometer enough to require a recalibration and if so did the dealer have to do that?

Haven't noticed mine flapping. Just the friggin hood.

Have you tried backing off the plastic bolts that the hood rests on? there's usually 2 large threaded plastic studs to the left and right of the grill that you can raise or lower. Raising those up might help remove some of the play in your hood.

I've had to do this on other vehicles, but haven't had any issue on this truck.
