If you are one of those who don’t have running boards or sliders and look to clean up the pinch welds here’s a simple inexpensive fix, clean pinch weld area and then use 3M adhesive promoter, cut Safety Tread to size and apply wrapping around pinch weld. It totally disappears after install. included one image of before and a few after…

I would be worried that this will trap moisture and lead to rust.

I see the rust comment and definitely a good idea to keep an eye on that, but that looks great! Unfortunately won’t work for me, I have the running boards and added LED lights, otherwise I would add that!

I like the idea of the lights. Are they on all the time or on with the door open?

I have the lights in the bed that come on with the door. I “posi-tapped” into them and did an LED rope light from eBay. Once I re-lock the truck, they turn off

Very nicely done! Question on the Timbrens, do they help when towing a large trailer? I have a 32 foot with about 1K on the hitch and about 500-700 cargo in the bed at times, afraid to level the front without doing something about it first. Thanks.
I haven't pulled the trailer yet, but did with my '04 3500. Squat was pretty minimal with 300-500 cargo and 700lb tongue weight, the biggest advantage I found was corner roll was greatly reduced. Its a poor mans air ride, that has zero maintainance and from what i've read, works better.

Added a few things to the truck since picking it up last week.

285/65R20 Falken Wildpeaks
RetraxPRO XR cover
Boss plow mount for my DXT that I kept from my old truck

Nice! How do you like the Retrax? I’m shopping for alternatives to my BakFlip that I have on my 1500. I have a CC LB on order, and am finding that some covers are only available for the SB.

I really like it this point. It took about an hour to install. It has sealed up really nicely and I think once I get a gasket for the tailgate I can get pretty close to water tight. I was a little worried about it rattling but it has been quiet and operates very smoothly. I had a Truxedo low pro on my previous truck and liked it but as it got older it was tougher to get it to stay really nice and tight and obviously the Retrax is a lot more secure as well.

I was really on the fence on getting a container style roll up cover and losing bed space as I haul lumber and ladders pretty regularly in summer. I think it will be fine as I can still slide lumber underneath the container and once I can find the Yakima Overhaul HD in stock I can add that to the channels in the XR and have a good removable ladder rack so the bed space won't be as important.

- Installed a Ranch Hand Full Replacement bumper (part#FBD191BLRC) -- and love it. Several ranches I hunt have miles and miles of dirt roads with bump-gates
- Leveled the front with a 2.5" ICON Dual Rate Springs w/ 2.0 Aluminum Shocks -- ride feels the same
- B&W Turn-Over Ball Gooseneck Hitch
- Considering 35x12.50 BFG KO2s (Discount Tire has them in stock locally). I've only got 24,000 miles on the truck & tires though
