Installed bed steps (82215842AH) - I was advised to not option the bed steps when I placed my order to prevent delays so I ordered them separately through BAM. My tailgate wiring harness seems to be at a slightly different location than some of the other configurations I've seen with bed steps. I managed to get it installed without relocating the harness. So far so good - no contact or rubbing between the brace and harness.

Day before yesterday nothing.
Yesterday center stack drawer.
Today 8.4 U connect.
I realize this is a much older post, but what benefits did you get with the upgrade of the uconnect? What if any features / tools were impacted by the change (hvac controls etc.). Thank you in advance.

Congratulations on the upgrade. I never realized that some of these trucks come with non-towing mirrors.
They are great once you get used to them. I mostly drive with mine down because I'm in city traffic and it makes the truck narrower...
I agree they feel way too wide for country roads and daily use. I’m sure I’ll drag them on everything when towing but that’s pretty normal for my stuff to be pine-striped

I didn’t prefer them and when I found the almost perfect truck it didn’t have them so I was happy. I liked the small mirrors for years

I never pulled anything but flatbed trailers and never had an issue seeing. But, the day I picked up my 8.5” wide enclosed I couldn’t see anything so I knew it was tkme.

Initially i found them distracting and didn’t like them but I knew i needed to get used to them. Drove around a little bit. I have messed around with them and I actually understand why people leave them flipped up all the time but I just can’t bring myself to drive around town like that unloaded. But, it’s like they were designed to be up, not down.

Fwiw: on my boost auto mirrors the large mirrors are power and the smalls are manual, both have defrost. Also, the adjustment works correctly regardless of the spatial orientation of the mirrors.

I think I have the small mirrors adjusted where I can see pretty good whether they’re flipped up or down and I’ll just need to adjust the larger power mirrors when I flip them. But, I only have 50 miles or less on the truck since install so I may decide I need to adjust them

That's a very good review.
I'm not sure if the optics on the OEM mirrors are different from the boost mirrors, but I typically need to adjust my main mirrors whenever I flip them up, and flip them back down. The good news is that I can run with them down on my 7 foot wide cargo trailer, and only need to mess with them when I rent a full width camper trailer..
Mine are power folding, and have power for adjustment and heat going to the big mirrors only.

If you have the memory switches for 1&2 you can set the mirrors for up and down positions.
You can save both up and down positions on one memory button. Ie I have towing and non towing saved in 1 and just hit that button when I flip the mirrors. Really helpful so my fiancé can have her settings on 2.

Not just today, but over the past few weeks. Upgrade to 8.4 stereo. Wired light bar to aux 2. Wired the Diode Dynamics floods so the back lighting illuminates with chicken lights. Actual floods are switched in the bed. Warn winch with the factory mount. Waiting on wiring to relocate the control head.

Mounted my timbergrove bags a week or so ago. Didn't like that they shared air with the parts they provided, so I ordered new airlines and schrader valves.
Found what I think is a good spot for the valves, although I wish I would've put them up higher. Oh well, once I add a compressor they will just be for backup.
Took a hole saw and notched the sheet metal a bit, then cleaned it up with a flapper on a die grinder.20220730_201842.jpg20220730_205413.jpg
